Yes!! Oops and I follow him & his hubby on IG!!! 😂😂 we all do, both are beautiful men. I stood next to him outside the Noel Coward once and couldn't even say hi I was so nervous! I just wasn't sure if there was an understudy called Mark too haha.

At the interval and so far it's a vast improvement on the Sarah Harding tour 😂 I think this might be my favourite review of 2019 so far. 'It passed the incredibly low bar of the last tour' (I'm being mean, Ghost, without members of Girls Aloud is a perfectly 'fine' musical)

Oh, I dunno. Nadine Coyle ‘par shar’-ring all over it might’ve been fun!

so yes having seen it with the projections & all the theatre tricks in the original than yes it’s very scaled down but that would be to complex & expensive to tour so you have to take that in consideration The 2013/14 tour contained the original projections and effects etc as far as I'm aware. This is just a case of Kenwright being cheap as usual, and I'm willing to bet the ticket pricing hasn't been lowered compared to the original tour to reflect the reduction in quality. The whole production has clearly been created with the intention of doing the bare minimum.

I went to press night in Wolverhampton this week. I was very critical of the last tour and also analysed how its own fans turned on the last tour. Luckily, this production is much stronger.
I managed to catch understudy Charlotte-Kate Warren as Molly. She shows a huge level of emotional maturity in the role and her version of With You is just beautiful.
The set design is amicable but remains rather simple. What I did like is that the director got rid of some of the really bad illusions from the last tour and just hinted at them happening. The battle between sam and carl is a prominent example of this, even the typing on the computer screen is done facing away from the audience. It doesn't try to do too much and while it doesn't match the quality of the first uk tour, it's not a bad production for sure.
I did really enjoy the lighting design, particularly at the end and overall I think it just shows the importance of the right casting.
It will help Ghost get its social media fans back on side I think and worth a watch. Ticket prices not too bad. Most expensive seats were just over £50.

Does anyone have a merch list for this? Merch for a Kenwright show? Since when did Kenwright start doing merch? I thought he only ever did an obligatory programme.

Yeah, I found that. I was hoping for a souvenir brochure, like, of this cast, but then I remembered, it’s Kenwright, not Mackintosh.
Although ironically, Mackintosh’s Mis tour is on its third venue and have only just shot the pro shots for their touring cast.

Was disappointed but not surprised!

Does anyone have a merch list for this? I'm at Brighton today and there was some merch downstairs, I'll go down take a proper look at the interval and try get a pic of the list. The theatre has done their own programme for £4 then there was a souviner one for £7. I bought the £4 one.

This was DREADFUL. Every song (apart from Moping Myrtle's quite good one in the first half & Unchained Melody in the second) could have been written by some sort of bland software.
That guitar! Ugh.
I was rooting for the murderer the whole time.

I was rooting for the murderer the whole time. Oh no! Haha. I definitely didn't think it was amazing, I found the two main characters really irritating, they were just too sickeningly sweet with each other and didn't feel real. I didn't find myself caring about them at all. At the end, there was sniffing all round me, so there were plenty of tears but I didn't feel a thing and didn't get it. However I thought the songs were okay and they had great voices. I thought a lot of it was quite fun. I don't think I'd go see it again, unless it was done again with the special effects because that's what everyone talks about!

Time for a review.
I went in with pretty low expectations after hearing the opinions of some people on here, and on other social media platforms, but I was pleasantly surprised. Is it the best production ever from a visual perspective? No. But the good things about it are really good, for example, casting. BKL have learned from their mistakes from the last tour. Rebekah Lowings and Niall Sheehy were brilliant, with Niall in particular having a stunning voice. I enjoyed Rebekah as she could actually sing the score as written without breaking. *cough* Harding *cough*.
Another standout was Jacquie DuBois as Oda Mae. She was HILARIOUS, and definitely the crowd favourite. The sass was real.
We had a show stop just after Oda Mae's song in act 1. There were some sound issues (speakers crackling, and some mics not working) which were ironed out after about 10 minutes. The actual interval 20 minutes later felt a little pointless. We got told to stay seated, yet some folk actually still went up to the bar.

I've just seen this in Brighton and enjoyed it. I'd pretty much agree with most of the previous comments - it's not the best thing I've ever seen but Niall Sheehy and Becky Lowings have great voices and do really well with it.
If you are hesitating I'd say definitely go!!

This is not uncommon at a fringe show. I saw a whole pizza pie once. I also saw dogs and babies!
