Excellent news, wanted to see this one again since it departed the West-End!
I love the score bar one or two songs.

I remember reluctantly standing in the day seat queue.... arriving at 9:50... asking myself what I was doing, and thinking that "ghost the musical" sounded terrible.
Loved it. And will be happy to see it again- I just live in hope that they revert back to the London versions of the songs.

I remember when it first opened in Manchester and then London - I was adamant I didn't want to see it as I convinced myself it wasn't my cup of tea. Then I finally saw it on the tour after it had closed in London and absolutely loved it. Wish I hadn't been so stubborn in not having seen it before! Hope this is true as I would love the chance to see it again.

Never judge a musical by its cover.

Where are you seeing that this is a BK production? I can't find anything about this tour. I know there are a number of amateur productions but I'd love to see a professional production again.

Ball of Wax was much better than whatever it was that replaced it on the last tour. I'd love to see this show again though.

I hope they keep the original songs as well, if this does happen. Ball of Wax was much better than whatever it was that replaced it on the last tour. I disliked both, but slightly preferred the new song - You gotta let go IIRC - but I'm still not over them cutting Life turns on a dime. That said: I do hope they get Rebecca Trehearn back. Her rendition of With you was just perfection.

Yeah I agree with you about Life Turns on a Dime - it's not the stongest song but I remember wondering why on earth they got rid of it. - If it aint broke, don't fix it. I liked Rebecca too. I wouldn't mind seeing her again.

I wonder where else the tour will be going... I might have to think about tickets for Blackpool if it doesn't come any closer to me.

I can't find anything about a UK tour for this year. I can see the Blackpool dates but I'm assuming this is just a local production, like the many others that are being produced. If I'm wrong, signpost me to the right link or info as I would love to see another professional production but I'm doubtful this is it.

So this seems to be the show: www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk/events_more.asp?events_id=547However - again, I can't find anything yet about who's producing it. One thing with strikes as an omission if that production is an amateur one is the lack of a "this production is with arrangement of.." line in the text on the Winter Gardens website. The only site I can make anything link back to is this: ghostthemusical.com - but that's via ents24 so may be a stock link for productions. Intriguing.

If its an amateur production then it's certainly an expensive one! £44 top price.

I just looked it up, it’s only on for 1 week at Blackpool Winter Gardens so I too expect it’s not a professional tour but amateur theatre company. I could be wrong of course, it’s out on tour in Australia currently.

I saw the original pre-West End production in Manchester and found it pretty forgettable except for the sets which were impressive and that one trick where he "disappears" on stage. I'd probably give it another try if it comes back to Manchester but not if its a cut back version.
As for Blackpool, nothing could convince me to set foot in that town ever again. Ever.

How weird. There's also a production opening next week at the Grand Opera House in York which also doesn't mention if it's professional or amateur (but described as an "electrifying new production") but has a totally different artwork and description to the Blackpool one. www.atgtickets.com/shows/ghost-the-musical/grand-opera-house-york/ - also with top price tickets over £40!

Really? I just followed that link and couldn't find a ticket over £27.40 (+£4). So £25 plus ATG. Actually I just realised that I first looked at the price range on the interactive seating plan that goes up to £40.40, which is just the £25.40 premium seat when selected for a "Blue Package" which includes a choice of variety box, welcome drink and ATG Theatre Gift. So really £25 (plus ATG fee) is pretty much the most expensive seat. My mistake.
