An 'exploratory' casting call has gone out for this. Opening early 2017.
May or may not happen. I remember Disney had a similar casting call for Newsies and that never materialised.
Exciting though - I've heard nothing but good things!

Wow. So many shows arriving from the great white way. 2017 is bringing with it three (potentially) Broadway shows, and we are only in February! I wonder what else could appear?

Really hoping Hedwig and The Visit open in London as was previously mentioned by its producers. They couldn't be any more different but both are wonderful shows.

Love this show! Hope this does end up coming over. I'd love to see Robert Fairchild and/or Leanne Cope opening the show in the West End (doubt it'll happen though).

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!  I wanted The Bodyguard to continue a run, and I am sure it will probably go out on tour again or something, but I am thrilled this will be heading to the Dominion, in the best possible theatre for it. It will look amazing on that stage with its wide space. And also, the casting of Leanne Cope reprising her Tony Nominated role makes me even more excited!  Tonight is a good night (apart from the news of Prince, of course!) |

According to the website, both Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope will reprise their roles from Broadway - both making their West End debuts! There will also be a "company of over 50 actors, dancers and musicians". |

Especially because he had a lot of praise particularly for the role and won every award under the sun other than the Tony and the Drama League (he won the Astaire, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and the Theatre World award for his role!) |

Even though I didn't like the musical, when I saw it on Broadway, it's good to see our bigger theatre getting a big Broadway show at long last. So looks like a great year next year for Broadway transfers. American in Paris - Dominion School of Rock - London Palladium Hamilton - Victoria Palace The King and I -  ?? By then I guess Kinky Boots, Showboat and Motown will be done? |

Showboat is a limited run anyway so the New London will be free by January.
Drury Lane is free from January as well.

Well, with the Broadway leads transferring, at least I won't need to bother with this as I saw them there. I was pretty disappointed by American in Paris, had expected way more dance and far less Gershwin recycling and tedious dialogues over flimsy love stories. Yet, for some reason I'm pleased the Dominion is finally getting a proper musical again and I'd rather they enjoy this than something cobbled together from the back catalogue of fading rock bands.

It's great that it's coming over but that's a big theatre to fill and the regents park production of crazy for you struggled in a much smaller theatre

I will certainly go to this - really looking forward to it, BUT I just cannot see it connecting with the general public at all. It is a huge theatre to fill (without star names) and will certainly not attract the Bodyguard / Mowtown audience which seem to fill these large theatres nowadays. So unfortunately I can see it struggling.

Gosh, this is expensive.
Stalls:
£55 front row (will miss footwork at times), £65 behind that, £115 premiums behind that, £90 premiums centre stalls, back to £65, then £55, then £45 back couple of rows.
Dress Circle:
£35 front row/s near safety rails (may restrict view), £65 and £115 & £90 premiums otherwise, 2nd dress circle block has £26 around the safety rails (again may restrict view), then £55 and £45 behind that. £17.50 very back row of dress circle.
And no performances sold out!
