I wont be rushing to see this I am afraid. Never liked the film and too many things I want to see more.

I cant see this selling out any performance for months. The film its based on is not that known. Showboat hasn't sold out and that's more well known. This theatre is over double the size.
I remember only 5-10 years ago the dearest seta being in the £60's range. Why have the prices increased so much.

Don't really know anything about this show, so am in no rush to get tickets. No doubt I'll get to see it at some point next year, but not on a top seat price.

Gosh, this is expensive. Stalls: £55 front row (will miss footwork at times), £65 behind that, £115 premiums behind that, £90 premiums centre stalls, back to £65, then £55, then £45 back couple of rows. Dress Circle: £35 front row/s near safety rails (may restrict view), £65 and £115 & £90 premiums otherwise, 2nd dress circle block has £26 around the safety rails (again may restrict view), then £55 and £45 behind that. £17.50 very back row of dress circle. And no performances sold out! Booked front row Dress Circle at £35. The safety rail is not a big issue, if I remember correctly. |

I saw this on Broadway last year and it is s'WONDERFUL. The Dominion is a great choice for a great big show like this.

I will certainly go to this - really looking forward to it, BUT I just cannot see it connecting with the general public at all. It is a huge theatre to fill (without star names) and will certainly not attract the Bodyguard / Mowtown audience which seem to fill these large theatres nowadays. So unfortunately I can see it struggling. I totally agree, it has no star names. I can see it doing around a year. Big thestres like this are very hard to sell at the moment so thats why producers choose the smaller thestres instead to get more tickets. |

I am SO excited for this! I have been wanting to see this show ever since it opened on Broadway - I definitely don't have enough money to go to the US - and to hear that Leanne Cope and Robert Fairchild are reprising their roles makes it even better! I'm going to book as soon as possible and I'm sure I'll be making a return visit many times!

I guess I'll see this because it looks pretty enough, but please let it be the last Gershwin mashup! Crazy for You, Nice Work, Top Hat, and this..They are all wonderful in their own ways, but I honestly crave something more edgy like Hedwig.

The west end needs a classy old school musical like this, I'm just not sure there is enough of an audience for this one in such a large theatre

^ I stand corrected. I don't disagree-I think WE and Broadway absolutely need to have a staple classical musical. There must be an audience for it given that Guys and Dolls (haven't seen it), Funny Girl (love it in principle; hated this production) are doing quite well. Funny Girl will be gone by the time this is over, but is Guys & Dolls an open run?

I never said anything rude , I hope the show does really well in London! I think it will connect with London audiences. And maybe if you actually read it, I wasn't the original one who said it will die of death. I simply reluctantly agreed. Lots of other people here have said they see it closing which is a huge shame. Quite excited about this, and glad it's been announced now and some of the original cast are coming over, as that means I can take it off my list of shows to see on my upcoming New York trip and squeeze in Eclipsed instead! Looking forward to next year now - been a while since I've been to the Dominion as well!
Front row stalls at the Dominion is fine, unless they extend the stage for this it's not particularly close to the edge of the stage so I doubt that much footwork will be missed. I'll probably book one Stalls and one Circle visit though, just in case!
