Anyone know what the regional programme for this show is like? I've booked to see A Chorus Line soon and am trying to cut back on buying theatre programmes but might have to give in for this one! I bought one yesterday at Birmingham Hippodrome. £6. About A4 size. A few pages in the front about the theatre and what's coming up there. The rest is mostly bios, a page with a song list, and quite a few production shots. No articles or anything like that, which is always disappointing. |

macksennett Yeah, I did. I think I was a little more engaged by it during the original run at Curve, as it was my first time seeing it and was front row, so saw the performances up close and felt the heat of all those lights at the end. ————— Question for people who are more familiar with the show. Slight spoiler, but I was a little puzzled at the end. It’s explicitly stated they’re casting four men and four women yet he picked three men and five women. Has that always been the case? And it’s done in such a low key way it’s a bit anti-climactic.

And it’s done in such a low key way it’s a bit anti-climactic. In most runs of the show (including the 2021 curve run) Richie is a man and is always one of the dancers who gets in at the end. It really did bug me (and I adore this production) that they didn’t make any attempt to alter the show to acknowledge it. |

I seem to remember an interview with a cast member who said one of the characters is now non-binary which might explain this.

Agree that the filming was a negative. Added nothing and distracted from the scenes. Apart from that, and a few numbers I like a bit faster, I loved it.
