I wonder what else they have left besides One Short Day One Short Day has been filmed already.
Thats why Kristen, Idina and Stephen Scwartz were all in London 2 weeks ago.

Has there been any gossip about Cynthia being “Cynthia” on set? No gossip. Just facts. She is not liked by the crew.
E.g. On location, Ariana had 2 gazebo tents because of her huge bubble dress, Cynthia only had 1 gazebo. She complained and then had it written in contract that if one of them got something, the other had to have it.
She won't work after a certain time, even if there is only 15 mins left to do that day, she will take breaks up to the very last minute and not be on set a second before.
She didn't go to her own screen tests for her green make-up.
However, everyone has said that she is phenominal in the role, but that doesn't excuse the behaviour.
Second biggest diva: Jonathan Bailey
Most down to earth: Michelle Yeo. She even gets the train in some days, rather than have a driver.

That seems weird that it doesn't match — isn't there a specification for it? You can get small pretty cheap spectrophotometers so you could make sure it was exactly the same each time. I assume they compare it to a Pantone chip or something, but that could have a bit of human error. I suppose it could still look different depending on application though. The green they chose was one made up of lots of other colours, and never got the exact shade they started with |

You know interestingly I saw an interview with Stephen Schwartz who explained when casting Elphabah, one of the reasons that Indina was cast was not only because of the way she could belt out those songs- but lets face it, a lot of others can too- but because of the vulnerability that she brought to the role.
Whilst I appreciate that the film is Jon Chu's vision, I wonder if Cynthia will bring that vulnerability?

Did she get on with the rest of the cast? Cynthia and Ariana both got on well together, so at least it won't feel forced on screen. There's talk of them now completing the last bits of the films using stand ins and some creative editing later on. They have to vacate the studios for Paddington 3 which started filming this week. |

Going by the footage from CinemaCon she seems to be bringing some vulnerability but her Elphaba looks incredibly powerful and sure of herself. Obviously it’s only a few clips but the “pink goes good with green” scene shows her brining some vulnerability. She makes a comment about being different in class and she delivers it with some pathos. But everything else we see her in she looks like she’ll knock you out with one punch. |

News reporting that the set's been demolished and taken away (and no not dismantled, so there's no chance of storing it for reshoots). I wonder what that means for the remainder of filming? I'm guessing they didn't need Munchkinland for One Short Day which is just as well, those huts didn't look like they'd hold up to the rain we've been having, but you'd think the other exterior sets would be needed... I guess they could do it digitally?

Schwartz said in an interview they have prerecorded the singing but they were also recording some live audio to mix in where it makes sense and they can make it work. It didn't sound like he meant in a super-committed way like the Les Mis style where they molded the whole thing around the live takes, more just a bit of a sweetener.
It's a nice idea but I'd be surprised if there ends up being much more than a sprinkle of live singing makes it through.

The prerecorded vocal was a simple piano track, with the full orchestrations to be added once the edit has been completed.
