Bowen Yang confirmed on Watch What Happens Live that Dillamond is a female. Just to add some context to this he said that currently the goat was being played by a female puppeteer who was also doing all the line readings during shooting and that “they’re going to cast her later”. Now could Dillamond be played by a woman? Sure. But I wouldn’t take this as concrete evidence as Bowen may just be seeing Dillamond as female due to his experience with the puppeteer.

I had the pleasure of being on the set earlier this week.
Dillamond is being played the actor who was always listed in the role, He's lists Actor, Puppeteer and Physical Performer on his bio. I have no idea where Bowen got the female Dillamond idea from. Maybe bcause a female puppeteer is the Lion (i think) The same actor is also playing Chistery, so he wont be CGI.
I saw footage of their arrival in the Emerald City. So many extras and dancers involved The costumes are sensational. The detail they have is amazing. Look out for the spinning bookcases in a scene at the Govenors Mansion - wow! Idina and Kristin are filming their Wizomania cameos this week - and wardrobe had to arrange to get them in seperatly - the rumours about the feud are true. Cynthia sounds sensational, and also a diva when on set. There is no Dorothy as a character, no lines or scenes, just someone you'll see glimpses of, similar to the stage version. The ruby slippers are in. They're on a tight deadline to finish due to the actors walking out in relation to the writers strikes in the US, in 2 weeks i believe. Reshoots for some scenes are already booked in. The gigantic talkin Head that people think is the Wizard is scary and about 2 stories tall.
It's all very impressive and looks fantastic. Fingers crossed it stays fantastic once they have finished the editing.

The Wicked cast have agreed to work 2 weeks from the start of the SAG strike, which was yesterday (Thursday) They are so close to finishing filming. They could patch together the first film with what they currently have, but the second one will be left unfinished if they don't complete this week. The 2nd film isnt out till 2025, but it's getting the actors back together that could be the issue.

Surely you can’t just agree to keep working during a strike. That would be crossing the picket line. Doesn’t matter how close you are to the end of filming. A strikes a strike. And if union members were to carry on filming it’s going to really annoy a lot of people.

The film's not due until next November so they've got time to take a production break and come back once it's resolved. Another factor why production can continue is because while the strike is lawful in the US, it's not in the UK because of trade union laws.

I had the pleasure of being on the set earlier this week. In what capacity? I’m not asking you to reveal yourself of course and we very much appreciate the insight but give us a bit of detail? Media? Talent? Production?

You are free to doubt me all you want, but because it's in Broadway World it must be true? it's not as if Universal have confirmed anything.
Also, the footage I saw was from 'One Short Day' with the 2 girls in the beauty salon and Kristen and Idina shot their Wizomania scene that evening. You wouldnt be the first to doubt me, when I wrote that the film would be in 2 parts, months before it was officially announced, people thought I was making that up too.
I also have the really cheap gift that Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman gave us for working on the film, a Wizomania VIP Lanyard. Yay
Burly - I was there with the production team.

In your haste to come for me, you might want to check yourself first.
Date of that interview: 30th June - 2 weeks ago.
In that interview "Stephen Schwartz: I’ve had a blast. It’s been so much fun. And I’m going over to London again the week of July 10th – this will be the last time while we are still filming. I’m going over for “One Short Day.”
CD: For a group recording?
SS: Basically just to be there.
Of all the songs that's what he was coming for? He was here for 'One Short Day' because of the cameo's they were filming on the 12th July
So YES, they can patch the first film together.

Well it’s not just BroadwayWorld. A number of entertainment websites are reporting that Wicked has shut down production. Along with multiple actors from the movie posting support for the strike on their social media accounts and even Cynthia Erivo posting the rules of what they are and are not allowed to do during the strike.

So posting their support for the strike means that they're on strike? i didnt realise all British actors had also walked out in support.
but whats left to film anyway? 🤷♂️

Ariana and Ethan dating... I would take this ‘news’ with a MASSIVE grain of salt. The tabloids are going off of an unnamed ‘source’ that claims that they’ve not only been dating for several months but Ethan allegedly divorced his wife before they started dating - which would mean they would have divorced in November/December 2022 while he was actively posting about his wife and newborn baby on Instagram. The timeline doesn’t make any sense. Unless it’s confirmed by an official source (either the Wicked production, or Ariana or Ethan themselves), I’m going to assume it’s made up. Ethan is playing Boq, who is in love with Glinda - so maybe someone spying on the production saw them doing a scene and have decided to spin it as a real romance rather than them… y’know, acting. I’m willing to eat my words if it turns out to be true, but right now none of this feels right

If you believe everything you read online she was “getting cosy” with Jonathan Bailey last week at Wimbledon. 😂

Yep, they went as far as they could with the actors still available, those not in SAG.
They are wanting the strike to end ASAP, because they will be paying for the space taken up by the production, when they should have cleared out. The outdoor munchkinland set is still needed because they have to reshoot all the outdoor munchkinland scenes - thats what happens when you film a few days here and there and the weather is completely different in each scene.
Maybe they'll fix it in PP, like Cynthia's green make up, which has been various shades over the course of the production, because they didn't make up a large batch of green, instead choosing to mix it when needed.

That seems weird that it doesn't match — isn't there a specification for it? You can get small pretty cheap spectrophotometers so you could make sure it was exactly the same each time. I assume they compare it to a Pantone chip or something, but that could have a bit of human error. I suppose it could still look different depending on application though.
