Saw the show last night and enjoyed it BUT
Was anyone else disappointed that he didn’t “fly” at the end on a pseudo “jet pack “? It seemed like they were setting up this stunt throughout the show with constant references
Personally I thought the ending was a bit of an anticlimax

They spend the whole night setting up the toaster lift , not a jet pack 🤣

I stand corrected Would still have liked a more impressive finale and given that even Julian Clary can fly I’m sure the Twins FX could have come up with a pseudo jet pack

Saw this today for the Matinee performance and really enjoyed it. Much better than Thriller Live which was more of a revue/tribute style show. MJ The Musical did have a story based around the Dangerous tour with MJ and the dancers preparing and looking back over Michael's life.
The choreography was amazing and the band....wow! It is so energetic and highly enjoyable to hear some of MJ'S great tunes, some reimagined.
We started off with Myles as MJ then the 2nd act an announcement was made that he was "Indisposed" so Kieran Alleyne came on and actually it was really awesome to see two different MJ's and their different take on the part. We couldn't pick a favourite as we enjoyed both!
It was clever how people played dual roles with Ashley Zhangazha as Joseph Jackson / Rob a real stand out. It was incredible how he changed his demeanour and brought out the nastiness of Joseph.
Mitchell Zhangazha (Ashley's real life brother) as young adult MJ during the Off The Wall and Thriller recordings was sublime and brought empathy to the part and highly believable. He was also great in my last visit to the Prince Edward Theatre in "Ain't Too Proud".
Definitely audiences worthy of the bad behaviour thread on here! In our row in the stalls we had a family that seemed to be split between our row (E) and the row in front, they kept handing kids back and forth and talking loudly, luckily an user near us saw and told them off!
Overall we enjoyed it and will be looking to go back as we left the theatre buzzing and wanting to break out our moonwalks!

A shame this aspect of MJ disappointed. Is it too late for 'Opening Night' to swap Sheridan's street crawl stunt for a jet pack? Flick the reverse switch on that discarded Hoover and watch her go - sensational!

Saw this for the third (and probably final) time last night. Bad behaviour in the form of people openly filming the show on their phones, surrounded by very many different nationalities all chattering and chuntering away. The different nationalities don't bother me but perhaps is an indication of the audience for this show and where it is heading (if anywhere). Tickets already available on TKTS, with Row C Dress for around £50. After an initial flurry of interest, it feels like there isn't much of a long-term appetite for this show. Looking ahead, availability is good. I enjoyed the first two times (sat in stalls AA both times) but hadn't realised how horrendous some of the audience behaviour is. Ushers have their work cut out trying to manage phone usage, and seeing this show from further back made me appreciate different aspects of it that I hadn't seen before, but also made me realise how contrived it feels when you don't have the sound blasting you in the face. I'm not a dancer but the choreography from the Dress Circle looked really tight and slick, but some of the lines were mumbled and lost. My initial enthusiasm for this show has waned a little now and I think it will be interesting to see how long it stays in the theatre.

Yeah I’ve seen them, thanks! I just like to help out someone who maybe needs to sell. Not sure how TKTS looked today but on Wednesday there were LOADS of tickets available. Got one from the official website, row J stalls reduced from just under £100 to £48 around 6pm. I thought the show was very very good visually, sounds, music, dancing, but the talking in between just felt like a drag. I don’t know if it was just because I was tired but it made the show feel so long. Myles is brilliant though, his dancing is incredible, he sounds a lot like MJ. But he’s definitely miming many times throughout the show. I thought Mitchell who played middle Michael was brilliant. It must be hard to compete against Myles on stage both playing Michael, but he had it down so well. The audience were perfect for the whole of act 1, but as soon as act 2 started we had people doing MJ impressions and shouting out. The guy next to me kept bringing his phone out to video loads of bits throughout the whole show too, not even trying to hide it, holding it right up in the air. The ushers were our most of the time but only managed to see him do it once. It’s a 4 star show from me.

A few official box offices do dynamic pricing online where the price will drop throughout the day. It can happen a lot earlier in the day but was quite late yesterday. Also if there’s a matinee the same day they will want that to pass first.

It seems like Myles is never on these days…did he hurt himself? On my 4 visits I have only seen Myles once! I prefer Kieran personally as there is something about his voice I like. I see there was another of the US cast on last night which is worrying as surely by now all understudies and standby will be rehearsed for it! Any reason why the US tour cast keep having to come and save the day so to speak?

I saw the show yesterday afternoon and had my 3rd MJ for my 2nd show (see my post further back I had 2 MJ's for my first visit!) We had Kwame Kandekore yesterday afternoon and he made the role his own.
Ashley and Mitchell the Zhangazha brothers are superb and Phebe Edwards is also a stand out performance.
It is a feel good show with all the great MJ music and stunning choreography and I would go again! The one thing I did wonder was with the background story of the MTV documentary was this actually made at the time does anyone know?
The audience were not too bad during the show, just could not believe how rude people were pushing and shoving as I went with family members and my mother is disabled and people pushed her out the way to go to the toilet in the interval!

I saw the show last week front row and as previously noted by some other members I noted some lip syncing.
I noticed it in Smooth Criminal - does it occur in any other songs? Is it Myles’ vocals they all sync along to regardless of who’s covering, or does each person have their own recorded track?
Thanks all ☺️

Hello. Does anybody know is this still coming up on TKTS? Also, does the main website still do dynamic pricing? I can buy on the day, but I'd rather get the ticket sorted by lunchtime, not 6 pm as somebody had experienced on here.

If you can wait, let half term pass.
