This is great news! Glad to know it isn't DOA and that they are sensibly giving the show another revision. Much as I adored it, it needed work. Hopefully the publicity, that will no doubt be surrounding the show during Olivier announcements/awards, will bring us news about future plans and a chance to hear those promos (which I assume will be intended for Olivier voters). I had heard from a rather reliable source that the show was going directly to Bway and not doing a West End transfer but it was a passing comment. I'll dig a little deeper and see what I can find out. The plan is definitely to get a west end run in before Broadway |

Transfer looking likely to be September /October. They are also reworking some of the show, so that will be the reason they won’t release a full cast recording yet. At least they're hopefully working on Act 2... |

I'm fairly sure a lot of us said that there was a solid rumour about the lead actress that would prevent this from immediately transferring to the west end (which it did) - did anyone say it categorically wouldn't?

I would love nothing more than for you to be 110% correct but having been around a few of these chatrooms over the past couple of decades, there is a lot of chatter from those who claim to be "in the know" and in truth, they really aren't. Until I see dates publicly announced I keep my hopes at a rather low level. That said, if and when they announce the transfer, I will be the first to congratulate you on being correct. :-) |

I would like to think it had less to do with someone's health situation (which we really shouldn't comment on here) and more to do with: 1) Time needed to rethink the show and make the hoped-for changes (which they are wise to do and take ample time to do it) 2) Theatre availability 3) Cast availability as we know that at least one featured player went straight into another show |

No, there were definitely posts pouring scorn on the idea of it transferring at all, suggesting that a transfer was doomed unless it was announced immediately, that it would go straight to Broadway, yadda yadda.
I've certainly never said it would transfer immediately, and posted several times about the possibility of having to wait several months or there being a long gap.

Kudos to the massive egos involved for realizing the show needs a lot of work.
Lets hope when it reopens, wherever it reopens, that they've turned it into the 5 star show that's floating around in there somewhere.

You also confirmed a cast recording was happening at the end of Jan 
I do hope they tidy up some of the storyline, such as making it a bit more clear about why her addiction started, how much it affected her etc. It all gets a bit lost in the middle of 'Heritage USA'

According to the cast on Instagram they are in the studio recording the album today for a few days. Very exciting! Does anyone know how long it takes to actually produce music once it’s been recorded?

They Are Recording all the songs from the show not just a Highlights Recording. |

Oh I’m being deadly serious. There’s so much of it about it at the moment. It’s the sort of thing a government would do as part of a global conspiracy cover up. You must believe everything I say on this matter. Like most people I’m sure they want to hide the “female theatre actress is pregnant” shocker as it’s so rare and definitely worthy of the gossip of people who don’t know her and have never met her.
