It’s currently booking until 5th January so judging by mrbarnaby‘s comments I’m assuming it’ll close then rather than extending/shortening the booking period. I’ll be sad to see this leave London, it’s one of very few shows currently I take repeat visits to, but it’s had a solid run that’s gone on for longer than many (including myself) expected it to.

Cameron is one of the many producers of Kinky Boots so essentially he’s replacing KB with one of his own. I’m kind of surprised he opted for Poppins rather than a newer Broadway transfer but perhaps the likes of DEH or Waitress are looking for smaller theatres as I imagine a few of the 1000-1100 seaters will be available next year like the Savoy etc That’s true, but the Adelphi isn’t his theatre, it’s Nederlander/RUG, so it’s really not his choice which show books it. I’m expressing surprise that he didn’t pick one of his own theatres.

This is all true. Oliver! was originally at the Palladium of course. And The Witches of Eastwick played Drury Lane. There are exceptions. But these tend to fall into two categories:
Those productions for which he needed a bigger theatre (Oliver! for example). He doesn’t own any 2000+ seaters.
Those productions which were before the formation of DMT and the era in which he owned theatres (Les Misérables, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera all examples of this).
I am merely commenting on recent (past 10 years) trends in his business model.

I just don't see Poppins going here, but if proven wrong then thats fine. I assumed it would go somewher bigger.
Hopefully the cast are aware, because Natalie and Jordan have both said their new contracts are in Kinky Boots for the next year, taking them into June 2019.

If this closes I will be gutted, I would rather Mary Poppins go on another tour rather than take the Adelphi or Dear even Hansen or perhaps Mean Girls come in apart from a show thats been in London before. I think they should leave Mary for a few more years at least or perhaps its 20th anniversary then bring it back. I think this one should stay. plus I see the safsbury being a perfect size theatre for Waitress or Nanny Mchphee .

Kinky Boots will have run just over 3 years if it closes in January which is still great and it’ll be touring so it’s not going to disappear completely

To be honest, until its announced its just a rumour, we should see it as such and see what happens.

Is anyone going to see the new cast this evening ? I’m there! Went to see both shows on Saturday and say ’goodbye’ to Season 3, then I’m back tonight to welcome in Season 4.

Regarding Natalie’s tattoos, all the ones on her arms are visible throughout the performance but the ones on her legs have been covered.

Natalie definitely much better than the last two Lauren's. She's made Lauren a bit more dirty Oliver had the acting and lines down to a T already but he just couldn't hit any of the big notes in his solos! The three new angels are all stunning, Louie as bikini/splits angel looked more like a woman than most women !!!

Now that I’ve had a bit of time to think over last nights show on the whole I’m happy with the season 4 cast. Natalie is already a great Lauren, much prefer her style to the other two leads who’ve I’ve seen, and I still feel she’s got more to give. I’m excited to see her again, especially in a few months time. Oliver well his acting is great, the characterisation is near perfect but the songs left me wanting more. There’s no denying he’s got a great voice and is more than capable of signing the songs but as it’s previously been said he just didn’t hit the notes last night. Hopefully it was just a case of opening night nerves or something. It was in good shape for an opening night, they all worked well together, the energy was great and I’m looking forward to seeing this cast again in a few weeks to see how things have changed (and hopefully improved on a few points)

Wow, I've just realised Oliver is missing most of August! Will hopefully catch Jordan once or twice in that time!

Post from Olly before last night’s show: “I’m normally the one giving out tips for a sing song but...Best ways to keep mouth moist for long periods on stage without water . Never been a problem before but the factory is dry! Do lemons work ?”
And after: “Thankyou for all your tips to moisten my mouth . Tongue biting went down a treat! And an accidental sour sweet! Great show tonight! Loved it!”

I was so disappointed in his singing. I was eagerly awaiting Being Alive and it was actually dead. Such a let-down. Hopefully he grows into this soon!
