Turns out they got back together. Who knew? (Who cared ) Shame when break ups happen due to *ahem* 'incompatibility' Well I'm glad we've cleared all that up. I forgot he had left the proper show, probably because he was on the 'It Takes Two' thing more than when he was an actual dancer. Anyway now we know who is or isn't dancing and sleeping with who, as you all were...

Anyway now we know who is or isn't dancing and sleeping with who, as you all were... Yes, although these pro dancer like Robin Windsor complain about the pay and the hours etc. on Strictly - it has given them a huge platform to do theatre tours etc. Once their contracts are not renewed they are cast adrift and have to scrape a living as best they can by teaching, cruises (lots of old ladies will love to be coached by RW) and the occasional TV appearance. Marcus Collins, after leaving Kinky Boots will no doubt concentrate on his music career ..... hold the front page!

I thought Marcus stuck out like a sore thumb in Kinky Boots, for all the wrong reasons.

See for me Marcus isn't the strongest dancer up there out of the angels but he is one of the best performers and really serves it. He always looks like hes having the time of his life up there which is so nice to see

Yeah, I also thought Marcus was one of the strongest performances in the show. He is one of the stand out ensemble performances I have seen in a long time, to say the least!

Debating whether to see this current cast again or the new cast later in the year?... Edging towards the latter

I dont know if I've asked this before but are day seats direct from the theatre better than going to tkts? Also, are day seats only 2 per transaction?

Yeah dayseats are direct from the theatre box office. I would personally say they are better as they are front row stalls seats. And yeah they are 2 per person

What time would you suggest going if we went on a Wednesday matinee? So if I went and there was maybe 3 of us altogether, we wouldn't be able to get day seats? Sorry for the quesrions just never day seated before!

It's 2 tickets per person, so if 3 of you want to see it, you'll need to have 2 of you queuing. If you're queuing together (which you SHOULD, it is VERY POOR FORM to have one person queuing from very early and have the other person join them later on) then you should be able to get 3 tickets together no problem.

Ahh okay I get you, thanks. Yes we would definitely queue together - I presume a midweek matinee wouldn't be that busy compared to Saturday? It's also better deals than tkts I think?

If you are going school holiday week - like this week - then it'll start early. I've already had reports of lines starting by 8am, and if you want 3, it's going to be tougher. 8am?! What about not school week, as I get a week off later in the year? Are Kinky Boots popular with families though?

Calm down dear. It's just tickets. I have never "dayseated" (if we make it a verb) and I probably never will. I actually think the whole system is incredibly unfair and biased towards people who, for whatever reason, have the ability to roll up at daft o'clock and obtain tickets for seats which are potentially better than ones two feet away purchased at top price by people with jobs to go to. There. I said it.

I am all for making theatre accessible to people who can't access higher priced seats, but sheesh why not just put them on line? Are the people buying these day seats really the people who can't access higher prices? Or just theatre-going pro's (yes, you lot reading this) who want to gobble up as much content, in the best seats possible, at the lowest possible price? I suspect it's the latter.

When i've previously dayseated for kinky boots I have usually gotten to the theatre at about 7 am (I know very early but it can get quite busy) If you are wanting to get 3 tickets take another person with you. I've done this before and the box office allowed me to get three as I had someone else with me to vouch for the third ticket. The box office opens at 10.30am and at around 10 am the box office staff will invite you in to queue inside the theatre before they start selling tickets. I think if you have the opportunity to dayseat then do it. Its a great way to get an amazing deal and experience a show that close up for a fraction of the price.

I've only day seated once, for Blythe Spirit. It was near the end of the run and just thought I'd try day seating. My kids were little so I was up early anyway; left the other half babysitting for the day and managed to be in London for 7.30am. It was a VERY long two and a half hours, even with a book and people watching, but I managed to get a Row K stalls seat for £10 (ticket's face value was £97.50). Probably wouldn't do it again though. Kids are at school now and I've got a job so money's not so tight. I think there are some instances of people day seating regularly for the same show but I suppose if you're going to see the same thing over and over again, you'll get up early to get cheap seats!

I prefer lotteries either in person like Mormon or online like Kinky Boots and The Kenneth Branagh seasons. The Friday online rush which the National does and what Harry Potter will do is much preferable than having to wait outside the box office at early o'clock.

When I dayseated for the performance the day after the Oliviers, the box office people did slightly tweak the rules of dayseating for someone behind me. It was their best friends birthday and as a surprise he wanted to get her, himself and another friend a front row ticket. They let him do that because it was her birthday so I am sure if you catch them on a good day they wouldn't mind tweaking ever so slightly.

Would 9:00 be to late to get to the theatre for a Wednesday? Whenever I have dayseated for this show, there have been at least 30 people there by 10am. I'd go open-minded regarding going to the matinee or evening show just in case. Kinky are quite good at offering any seats unsold for dayseat price if the front row sells out so you will be fine either way.
