Woah, only Matt of the three big roles staying... well he would of been insane to leave such an amazing role!

I'm assuming Cordelia Farnworth and Alan Mehdizadeh are taking over as Nicola and Don?

Oh gosh, I LOVE David Hunter! Deffo going to have to go back to Kinky Boots (the cast album is really growing on me so maybe I'll enjoy it more next time?). He's perfectly cast in this role, in my opinion!

Surprised Matt is staying to be honest, out of all of them i thought he'd be first away. Killian certainly doesn't hang around in shows does he! Shame to see Amy go as well.
I can't really have an opinion on the new cast as I've never seen any of them, but it will be interesting to see. I notice the new Lauren is a new graduate so that's always quite intriguing to see some new talent and a West End debut, especially for a big show like this.

Killian has just confirmed he's leaving on Twitter (and me all over See Tickets/Ticketmaster and various other sites looking for whats available for the 13th August).
So, anyone want a ticket for Romeo & Juliet? Dammit!

I'm actually quite sad by the amount of people leaving. I know the new cast will be fantastic but this current cast is such a great group together!

Yes it is! I loved the cast together, hope Emma Crossley gets bumped up to 1st cover Lauren! Indeed she is! It's a real shame that a lot of them are leaving, but although it is an incredible show, unless you are Charlie or Lola you are a bit wasted. It's not a big dance show and the ensemble do spend a lot of time just wandering about the stage. I can understand why a lot of them are going

I presume she'll be the ensemble on stage now then rather than a swing, like Sophie was before. Yeah I know what you mean. They all probably want to go into new shows, into bigger roles. I am certain Killian and Amy will continue doing loads of work!

I was under the mindset of the Angels doing alot more than they actually do but thinking about it, they only do 5 numbers overall and only one of them gets to shine in the second half so even they are quite minor. So it is amazing they were highlighted so much in reviews etc, though their numbers are the most memorable part of the show. Sex is in The Heel is still one of the best numbers on the West End right now ( in my opinion!)

Marcus Collins must be disappointed, having auditioned for Lola, settled for covering hoping he would have the change to play the part and never has. He clearly wasn't offered first cover to Matt in the new cast and the chance to go on either so I don't blame him leaving. It is a thankless show for the ensemble as littleflyer mentioned up the thread.

Marcus has done so well though in his role, and has a much better track record with this show than previous shows. The role he has is great, he gets his moment in the spotlight and seems to love his role. I follow him on Instagram and he just seems to love it!

I wonder if, in a few years time, when this inevitably tours, if Marcus will be considered for lead Lola...

I think Marcus has done well out of this one- it seems he's fairly concious now of 'working his way up' again and yes as anyone who looks at his instagram etc can see certainly having a ball! I hope he gets offered the tour down the line I'd certainly like to see him.
His fella is (still I think?) Robin from Strictly so perhaps he's just looking forward to a winter of watching him in the glitter and sequins instead?
Also damnit, I guess I need to try and see it before Killian leaves then...

I still get confused that the show is currently booking to May 6, 2017 whilst all of the press releases state it is currently booking to January 14, 2017?

Possibly the press releases haven't been updated with the new booking period? That was my assumption too, as the Official Website's announcement of the new cast does not include the booking period, whilst the other websites announcing the new cast includes the booking period. So as the show hasn't officially announced it, the other websites are going by the initial January 2017 announcement.

I just saw a pic of Arun as Lola, i'd not seen a clear one before. He could literally be a woman. Same with Callum. Me personally i think it looks 'better' when it's quite clearly a drag queen and a man underneath all the make up, hair and clothes, which is what you get with Matt and got with Billy. It doesn't seem right to me when they look so feminine. But i've never seen them perform so that's nothing against their performances which i'm sure are great.
