Interesting they’ve gone for a smaller theatre than the Shubert but I imagine it’ll sell if they can get Jeff Daniels.

saw this at the Barbican some years ago with Robert Sean Leonard and it was excellent. Wonder who the new cast wil be and the version I saw will be very hard to beat.

Tempted to see this when I go to NYC in August but the astronomical prices are putting me off - I’ll wait to see what the pricing (and cast) is like before I get too excited.

Looking on Today Tix the weekend I’m going at end of August, cheapest they have is $89 which is ‘concierges choice’ on the balcony which I’m assuming is the crappy seats right at the back they couldn’t sell to passers by- I wasn’t expecting to get Orchestra for a bargain price but I think I’ll probably go and see something else while I’m there. |

Sonia has sent her close personal friends a presale link for tickets to previews. Prices are not too horrific - stalls are £78, £63 or £43 (for the back few rows), same price range for dress circle, upper circle is £23, £30 or £43. Maybe assume another £10 or so on these prices after previews. Still not too bad compared to (eg) Cyrano, given what a hot ticket this has been on Broadway.

I'm not going to book until they announce the cast, the Broadway ensemble were so good that I'm not in a rush to see this again unless we get a really good cast.

I’ll be curious to see who they cast, I doubt they’ll get Jeff Daniels a he has other commitments but I imagine they’ll get a name for Atticus.

This'll attract quite a bit of interest from theatregoers, it seems safe to say.
Plus however many copies of the book have already been sold or borrowed in the past so many decades, the arrival of such a play in London will boost interest in the book.
