I got beginning of June. I imagine this will be a huge hit when it does open.

All I've had is an email saying I will receive my rescheduled date by the end of this month. But I had booked for later in the run, so I'm expecting a date in August 2021.

Interesting that Rhys Ifans' name has come off the artwork and the email says 'Please note that all casting will be announced at a later date' - has he had to back out?

Interesting that Rhys Ifans' name has come off the artwork and the email says 'Please note that all casting will be announced at a later date' - has he had to back out? Anything is possible. He was only in it for a limited run (presumably to be replaced once the original run ended, based on ticket sales) so perhaps he has other commitments that makes this impossible now. Or maybe he might even become the replacement - anything could happen once we get to the other side of this virus.

Another actor is replacing Rhys Ifans.
A shame as Ifans is so wonderful on stage, but he has filming commitments now.
His name begins with R though..

Rafe Spall? Too young perhaps... I could have sworn when I read mrbarnaby's post earlier that name was included - maybe I'm going mad!

Rafe Spall would be an interesting choice for Finch. I was excited to see Rhys Ifans in the role. I'm keen to know who it will be now as the date of seeing the play gets closer. At the moment it's the only ticket I have booked!

Well done, Mr B! SFP are not taking any chances by moving it back so much. I really hope that they can also re-schedule Leopoldstadt if it can't go ahead this June. I wonder if Leopoldstadt might run now at the Gielgud in the Autumn as Life of Pi will be at Wyndham's by then?

Terrific news. In my mind the best alternative to Rhys Ifans. Can't wait to see it in September!

I wonder if Upstart Crow will resume then? I'm sure I read an interview with David Mitchell very recently that said that was the hopeful plan.
