I can imagine Kevin Clifton as Cosmo. However it's Charlotte Gooch as Kathy who I really want to see. I have everything crossed that I'll be able to get down to London by August/September.

Faye Tozer was good in The Tailor Made Man (Arts) similar character to Lina, so yes, can see her do this role!

I have now risked it for tomorrow. £3 booking fee, so total £33.
Interestingly enough, I got a warning about the seat being restricted view, but nothing relating to water!

It’s on the calendar page - “ Special Effects: please note the use of smoke, flashes and water on stage - please be aware that if you purchase tickets in Stalls rows DD and CC you may get wet !” Let us know please how wet you get. I’m tempted by end of Row B for next Wed Eve in the hope that the more central seats get the brunt of it. |

You definitely get wet!
Interval time, excellent so far. The stage is very high though, so you only see knees up at the front of the stage and less when they’re further back (I’m 5’8” for reference). Heads only when they’re seated.
The water is quite fairly distributed across the rows. I wouldn’t go for the row ends. There are a lot of water kicks to the sides and it’s the worst view!
Very much the Kevin Clifton show so far. He got entrance applause and nails every scene.
We had a show stop after the overture so running long so far. But very enjoyable. You don’t get many big song and dance shows like this in London any more.

End of show thoughts. A spectacular production.
I did see this back in the 2021 West End production, but I don't remember it all that well. But it has all the big song and dance numbers you'd expect.
The guy behind me in the second row was very pleased when I sat down and had some protection from the water. But later on he said he was hot. If only more of the water had gone his way. I think he was a Mountview graduate.
I had a family of three at one side. I felt sorry for the young child (who looked to be about 8 or 9) who could barely see a thing with the high stage. The mother had come prepared and covered herself with a plastic sheet. It wasn't really that bad though (and the rain at the end of the show is far less than before intermission, so you don't have to leave, as a I feared at one point, with trousers looking like you hadn't reached the toilet in time).
The stage is high as essentially there's a small pool built on top of the normal stage.
End time was about 22:35 tonight, but that was with the 10 minute stop.
As I mentioned earlier, the highlight was Kevin Clifton. Very funny, excellent dancer and a good singer. Adam Cooper was well in his element, but the relationship age gap does push things a bit. Faye Tozer is hilarious in her role and has a lot more to do here than when I saw her in Jamie. You have Charlotte Gooch, who is a very talented singer and dancer. And there's even Sandra Dickinson, who I didn't realise in advance was in the show, so that was a nice surprise.
Thank you to the audience for being respectful too, with the vast majority of people respecting the venue's request and wearing a mask.
I would like to see this from further back if any offers come in, but otherwise I'd happily sit at the front again. This is every bit as big a production as Anything Goes.

I saw the production at this theatre a few years ago & all I remember is being boiling hot before entering the auditorium because of all the glass. It was like being in a greenhouse.

Doesn't seem to be selling particularly well, looks like less than half of the seats sold for tonight. Not surprising though when they don't seem to be discounting much.

I got Stalls row B from the Todaytix rush yesterday - so about 6 rows back from the stage and just out of reach of the splashing water. I didn't read through this thread before booking so was very confused when a man in an enormous, brightly yellow rain poncho sat down in the second row, especially as it was lovely weather outside. I soon found out why!
I went into it with little expectation but had a wonderful evening. The rain scene was magical - Adam Cooper was drenching the first four rows with such infectious gleefulness and it was just a very emotional "theatre is finally really back" moment for me.

Go for the big numbers as they are still great but the book scenes and some of the acting let it down.

Il agree there. Enjoyed it but it was missing the spark it had at the palace. Is Adam Cooper a bit bored of it now maybe? Faye was great especially though. Hope she does more musicals. |

I'm looking to go, but because of COVID (I'm more vulnerable, but have had both vaccines) I would ideally not like to be surrounded by people, so thought these would be good as there's minimal people surrounding me.
Can you see the stage from them?

Yes, you'll see (almost?) everything from there. Nearly all the action happens in the area that fills with water and you'll definitely see all of that from there. You should be fine there.
