Apologies title of the thread should be 2020 not 2019!

I thought the recent revival was absolutely gorgeous and was one of my favourite productions, happy to see the show return in whatever capacity.
Could we please get Katherine Kingsley to reprise too?!

Blimey. Feels like 5 minutes ago it was at The Palace!
(Someone’s gonna tell me it was 15 years ago or something now and make me feel old ;-))

Considering the current weather, great timing for this announcement! I never saw it when it was on in the WE so might make a trip to Sadlers Wells (another new venue for me) if the tour doesn’t come to Manchester or Liverpool.

Singin' in the Rain though not this production was at Sadler's Wells 15 years ago.
I'm surprised Sadler's Wells don't do more musicals but I guess it's primarily a dance venue.

Would love to get Kat Kingsley back.
Adam was so glorious as Dom and his dancing is just superb. Not sure if we’d be looking for someone a little older, but someone like Laura Baldwin for Kathy maybe? I mean I’d LOVE for Scarlet to come back, but having settled in America and a young child in tow, it seems not.

That would be perfect. Why are so many of my favorite shows returning? Not complaining but after a while of not having not that many things I'm keen on now here's another I'm looking forward to.

I loved this show so much at the Palace and Adam Cooper was wonderful in it. Definitely going to see this at Sadler's Wells.

Great news! Stephane Anelli was excellent in the tour a few years ago as Cosmo.

Gosh, saw it in 2000 at the National, the standout performance for me was that of Lina ... wiki tells me it was Rebecca Thornhill! 19 years ago ... Audience at the front were given colourful umbrellas. Great fun. Saw it twice at the Palace too - 2011 says wiki.
Yes to Clare Halse, just right for the cute as a button Cathy. I really liked Dan Burton in Gypsy, he'd be a great Don or Cosmo (Simon Lipkin too tall??).

Another one looking forward to this. Saw it at the WMC in Cardiff a few years ago and it was excellent, except for the rain not working! Was hoping to do a double header with Hairspray but that finishes just before this starts.

I thought I saw an advertisement for this on the back of a truck earlier today, but it was a plumbing supplier.

Didn't they have a massive water tank under the stage or orchestra pit at The Palace? Adam Cooper was great.

Adam Cooper was off when I saw it at the Palace, and it was one of the few occasions when I've found an understudy in a West End show to be rather disappointing, so I think I'll try to see this to finally, hopefully, see him. I'm not booking a year in advance though.
I wonder if @theatremonkey will be risking attendance? ;-)

Pretty sure Claire Halse, Dan Burton and and Daniel Crossley were the lead trio in a paris run in 2015 (different production to this though).

Clare Halse played Kathy opposite Dan Burton as Don at the Theatre du Chatelet production in Paris a few years back, with Daniel Crossley as Cosmo (reprising his Palace production role). It was great casting and I'd love to see any or all of them in the show again.
