I wonder if there will be reduced prices for previews? It doesn't mention it in the email so I guess not ;(

Nothing here either. Is this good marketing or are we expecting it to be manic? Apart from us theatre geeks does jo public even know of the musical. I can imagine this being quite manic. With them only opening up 8 weeks of availability I can see it going very quickly. it'll be interesting to see if it is manic, because it's certainly not got the profile Hamilton had here before it opened and they've not really done much marketing.

I will hopefully go at the end of January / start of February, depending on availability and pricing.

So I’ve just been doing a bit of digging around online and Dear Evan Hansen currently sits at number 30 in the Official UK Soundtrack Charts. This puts it above Come From Away and Waitress. Streaming wise on Apple Music it is at number 17. Not that this is any true indication but I would say there will be enough interest to quickly sell out what is put on sale on Thursday.

This can't be as tough as Hamilton was...and they of course will be holding back a lot of tickets as they did with Ham and released last minute.

Paid $200 to see this on Broadway which was worth every penny, but I think I'm going to hold out and keep my fingers crossed for day seats/rush/lottery.

Looks like the gallery slips are being priced at £12. Having looked on SeatPlan, they look pretty awful and I would only sit there if I was really desperate.

I assume the grand circle slips will be £12 too, I sat in the GC slips seats nearest the stage for All About Eve and Labour of Love and I actually think they are a total bargain for the view.

I was going off the MTAS Facebook page where someone posted the price list. I think they may have had a DMT+ card or something?

Just when I was started to resign myself to not receiving the presale, the email finally appeared in my junk inbox. The prices aren’t as bad as they could be either. I’m hoping that by 4:00 there will be plenty of availability still.

Ok me again... (sorry!)
I’ve never been this excited about a musical opening, Wicked had been open 4 years before I discovered it....
How likely is it that previews get cancelled? I know Hamilton has issues because of the renovation but I can’t think of many new musicals such a CFA, 9-5 that had delays opening? I’m not going to try for opening night which I think is a Tuesday but I’m wondering about Friday/Saturday night. I don’t want to book really early only to then get bumped to later on....

There's been a number of shows that have cancelled early previews, so if you're happy enough to avoid the first preview or two, then you greatly reduce the risk that your performance will be cancelled. I know Hamilton cancelled a BUNCH of previews, but that was a unique case because the theatre was undergoing massive refurbishment so the Noel Coward should be free of that risk at least!

It is quite tech heavy, but has been touring for a while in America so I wouldn’t have thought there are many things that they haven’t experienced before that would put it back.

Though as ever, proof in the pudding will be what % of the Stalls and the Circle are premium and at what row top-price-non-premium kicks in!

Do people think there will be a stampede for this?

Yes. Not Hamilton-scale, and it won't be impossible to get tickets, but I think it'll be a somewhat hotter ticket than Waitress or Come From Away were when they opened booking.

Do people think there will be a stampede for this? Possibly initially with those who want to see it at the beginning of the run (like board members) but I think it will die off pretty quickly. I'm aiming for an early preview and need aisle stalls or dress so will be logging in as soon as I get the e mail tomorrow.
