I have a feeling that the first few months will sell pretty well. Whatever gives you that idea... The demographic is mostly younger people e.g. the Heathers/Wicked/Waitress type, but it is a pretty "hyped" up show in the theatre community, especially given its success on Broadway, and I have a feeling that even if it doesn't totally sell at first, it may be one of those shows which gains popularity through word of mouth. Do keep in mind that they are playing a venue which is much more appropriate in terms of size given how well the show is known over here. Compare that to Waitress which isn't really known much outside the theatre community and they are playing the Adelphi which is a pretty large theatre.

It's also seemingly more popular with parents than, say, Heathers and Mean Girls, if anecdotal evidence is anything to go by (I first saw it at Arena in Washington DC and have seen it grow from there). You'd drop the kids off at another show, but you'd go with them to this one.

Callbacks for Conor and Zoe are well underway - and they’re pressing on with huge speed. Not sure about Evan, haven’t heard of anyone receiving a recall from the opens yet.

Manchester open isn’t until Monday so I suspect they are holding off for that before they cast anyone (if any) from the opens.

At the MT Fest nightcap tonight with Rob Houchen he said he went in for DEH but was told he was too old. So that’s him out of the running A real shame as I think he would have been great.

But Ben Platt wasn't too old?🤔 He was with it long enough pre-Broadway where he could get grandfathered in, so to speak. Also, he's still three years younger than Rob Houchen.

I've been watching Wayne (I highly recommend it) and Mark McKenna, who also is a singer apparently, looks like a perfect Connor. Not a rumour or anything, just a random thought I wanted to share.

It seems they’ll be doing booking periods / ticket limits.
TICKET AVAILABILITY You will be able to buy tickets for DEAR EVAN HANSEN in the West End, before the public on sale in April.
DEAR EVAN HANSEN begins 29 October and you will be able to purchase tickets for the first eight (8) weeks of performances.
There will be further opportunity to secure tickets at the start of public on sale 10am, 8th April when an additional booking period will be available.
TICKET LIMIT There is a ticket limit of six (6) tickets per person, during the eight-week early access on sale period.

Just got my early access email through. Find it interesting how large the gap is between early access and general sale.

I haven’t had an email either! But 8 weeks isn’t a long booking period anyway - I wonder how high prices will be?!

I've had no e-mail either. Maybe they are sending it out in batches. I've had all the other updates from them so it's weird.

Nothing here either. Is this good marketing or are we expecting it to be manic? Apart from us theatre geeks does jo public even know of the musical.

I literally just got it now. So i'm guessing there is no rhyme or reason to when people get the e-mail.

I also got mine only 10 mins ago. You do need to be registered as:
"You will receive your early access booking link via email at noon (GMT), Thursday 28 February"
Really not impressed by the pricing, will it sell that well?
