I don't think anyone is claiming Joseph is the greatest show ever, it isn't but you can't deny the songs are very catchy, the story is easy to follow, not too long and crucially it's something you can bring a bring different generations too without worrying about if it's suitable or not.

Also, great job by ushers and management at the palladium today. A lady in the front row filmed the whole show on her phone. Whilst they attempted to stop her during act two, at the end right in front of me they accosted her (not physically) and told her cast members had reported it as was seen from the stage and wanted her to delete it off her phone in front of them. While it's good that she deleted it she has managed to film the entire show on her phone. Why was this not stopped at the interval at the very least? That would have driven me mad if I had been nearby.

I do find it a bit crap that I managed to go through the main Palladium entrance, through all the corridors, down to the front of the stalls, read some of the programme, and be actually watching the show before there was any indication the understudy Narrator was on.
I didn’t see any signs, there was no slip in the programme, and no announcement before the show. Like I say… a bit crap.

Where has this very blatant trend for filming shows come from? Makes my blood boil. Put your phone away until the house lights come up at the end of the show. If you can't do that, you shouldn't go. Go to a relaxed performance, don't ruin the magic for everyone else. I don't even want you filming the curtain call, even if the ushers are being made to wave signs saying that you can. It's so uncouth and quite frankly, tacky. I have seen people whack out full professional cameras at the curtain call!? What is wrong with people? There's no excuse, none at all.

I do agree that nothing winds me up than someone filming a show, and doing so in the front row is the height of rudeness as far as I'm concerned. However some shows, Six in particular, are encouraging the filming of the curtain call and megamix - which I personally think is a great idea for that show. That said, I wouldn't film a curtain call at a show where it's not explicitly stated that you can, albeit several performers retweet videos of curtain calls from their shows onto their timelines.

I was at the 1pm today. Actually quite a few empty seats which I thought was surprising for a bank holiday weekend matinee. Rochelle was fine. Was still a bit disappointed the key is altered even for her and the whole thing is sooooooo sloooowwww Jacob and Sons dragged. Audience was flat, until the Megamix, but compared to the last time I went a month or so ago, it felt a bit….awkward? Agree the Mrs P / Joseph section is awful whichever narrator did it. And made even worse by a kid playing Mr P. Massive praise really in this production to the brothers and female ensemble who sell it every time they are on stage. I was there today at the 1pm. Audience so quiet. The show last nite was fab. Audience up for it from start to finish. Audience very flat and boring today… Such a fab show too..

Good I’m so glad she got caught. I saw a flash at the beginning of the show when Jac was singing. Then indeed the usher came down the front in the interval and shouted at everyone. Glad she was found out. Totally disgusting…

It’s quite ironic the current Joseph programme has a section headed “If it ain’t broke” when this is directed by the very definition of someone who takes a show that ain’t broke and sh*ts all over it.

It is what it is.
I’m directing my own version this December and the licence stipulates I can’t use any of the current choreo or blocking or anything…. And I’m pretty glad!

Something I really don’t understand, is why at the bows Joseph isn’t the last to bow ? It’s bizarre:

I probably shouldn't draw attention to it as it's very naughty but it appears someone has recorded and uploaded the entire first act of one of Linzi's shows to a certain website.

Having had a quick look at the website, for the 4-show weekend there’s a fair few seats for all performances, except for Linzi’s last show where there are currently only two. I think it’s going to be a special show!

I think it’s going to be a special show! It was showing as sold out earlier so must have been a couple of returns. According to twitter Linzi is on the mend so fingers crossed she knock our socks off on Saturday!

I'll be there on Saturday for her last show on what's my first trip to London after 19 months. Beyond excited.

Saw Joseph twice this weekend! Sat night I'd booked to see Linzi but as we all know she was ill poor thing so I had Rochelle Sherona instead. She was great, good vocals, fab dancing, really enjoyed it! However she seemed to be lacking something, I couldn't put my finger on, like a presence. I can't articulate it, but it's something Linzi and Alexandra have.
The show itself I love, obviously! It's just a great old time, it's fun and I actually like this production! Maybe it's cos I never saw the 1991 production live.
Yesterday I saw Alexandra as narrator and oh wow she blew me away! Such a different performance to Linzi's but equally as enjoyable. I thought her vocals were insane, loved her runs and riffs and she moved across the stage like she was controlling the whole thing, just like Linzi seemed to. I thought she was fab! I hope she tours!! Now fingers crossed for a great Linzi show on Saturday!!

Can’t wait to see Linzi do her stuff in her last show on Sat. Then the last two shows Sun and that’s it. Loved this run. Gone so fast.. Kel x

Not loading any more. Was it something inappropriately juicy? Think instagram is playing up, its just a picture of her looking happy but a bit overwhelmed during curtain call
