I was thinking this could be a potential theatre for Waitress I can only dream btw love this show I think the Shaftesbury would be a tad too big for Waitress, they’d probably aim for a 1,000 seater at most if it transfered I think unless they got a huge name.

If Waitress doesn't come over within the next year I might swell just go see it when I'm in New York. As I really want to see it, either there or wait till it comes to London in 2023 lol.

Is this still doing well in London? Is there not a feeling jukebox musicals will cannibalise one another if we get too many of them, what with Thriller, Tina, Mamma Mia all close to eachother?

By the looks of it, it still appears to be pulling in the punters. As to the volume of jukebox musicals in the WE, I think it comes down to economics at the end of the day. I’m sure it’s far easier to sell this type of show rather than a new play or musical to producers as there will be a ready made audience which equals profit. But with BOOH and the new Take That show hitting the WE this year, will it saturate the market, probably not, but it at least these shows help with increased alcohol sales prior and during the shows, having seen the state of some of the audience!

Add Bat out of Hell to the list.
This has been discounting a lot recently, so there could be a sign there, it maybe struggling, however I assume it has paid the mortgage, so it’s operating costs are lower now.
Think this would be too big a theatre for Waitress, but would be about right for Come From Away or Dear Evan Hansen.

No dayseats were available Friday afternoon.
I ended up spending top price for Tina instead!

Think they’re doing the todaytix thing instead. they are indeed, £25. I've seen them available at various points throughout the day, but it seems to vary.

I give this till January or February and Waitress or Dear even Hansen will open at the Safsbury in May/June 2019. If u think about it though it is also going on tour so the tour has probably affected the show. I remember when the show 1st open-end you couldn't get a ticket and now there are still seats left in the stalls for this weekend front row aswell for £59.00. I paid £45 for my ticket and they are wanting £65 for seats in the Stalls for this at the WMC in Cardiff. I'm glad I saw it in London sat in the front row aswell.

There is a god!... Only kidding, I saw the show in 2016 and for what it is, its alright. The cast absolutely smash it vocally but the book and the general staging of it did very little for me. I'm also very bitter Memphis closed for it! I see Mean Girls as more a Savoy kind of show. I would love to see Groundhog Day come back.... or Memphis
