Thank you for the flag! I had to immediately go and buy a ticket for an evening this week - I think Kieran is fantastic. Looks like Myles is on holiday (or at least not ill/injured which is something!) I agree I prefer Kieran too! I wasn't saying Myles was off for any reason, I just posted saying he was off as I thought people might want to know, I won’t bother in the future Please do! It was super helpful to know. You’ve put me onto a great X page I had no idea existed. Not sure if you misinterpreted the tone of my reply.

I’m glad I have put you onto something new, mind sometimes the covers on each show can be announced late but it’s super handy to look back on if you want to know what covers were on if any. It wasn’t your post it was a few of the others as I did say I don’t know the reason why he is off ( but I had guessed holiday with the time of year and him being American!)

Has anyone seen Andre as MJ yet? He’s done a few shows since he’s joined now. I assume he’s second cover if Kieran is alternate and presumably Kwame is first cover?

Not seen him but wondering who I will be seeing when we go in a couple of months 🤔 i wondered why they drafted in another MJ recently unless one of the others will be leaving 🤔

oof. this is not a show, it's a pretend faux real life pageant paid for by the Jackson family. Shame on Lynn Nottage for agreeing to participate in such an unworthy project.

Looks like Kieran’s on til tomorrow, so suggests Myles might be back from Thursday onwards? Presumably he’ll stay with the show for the year like most do, which would be Feb/Mar?

Would like to think he sees out his contract along with the others 🤔

Would like to think he sees out his contract along with the others 🤔 I’m actually surprised Myles is still in the show… I thought he’d have a short-term contract just to kick the show off, but they have yet to announce his departure date. Instead, they keep posting new photos and videos of him in the show. I hope he stays longer as well. Regarding the new standby, I believe the Broadway production recently added a new standby, too. So now they have the principal MJ (Elijah Rhea Johnson, who succeeded Myles) as well as FOUR dedicated standbys! The roles of both MJ and middle Michael are incredibly taxing, so the more coverage there is, the better.

I wondered if the new standby was in preparation for Myles leaving but as you say, the show is taxing and he must need some down time. Wonder if he will be in London over the festive period. Must be hard for him with his family so far away

I mean sickness/injury/annual leave…. He maybe has a different contract to the others. On another note, dont think there has been the same opportunities here for interviews on radio/TV as he has had in the States. Only thing I have seen was the This Morning segment

Only thing I have seen was the This Morning segment When do Olivier 2025 nominations happen, does anyone know? I wonder if he's just holding on into the new year to get an Olivier nom/win, and then will leave. I do wonder though if the Oliviers are generally a bit higher-brow than MJ the Musical ...

I had to chuckle at Myles’ WOS awards nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Perhaps if there was one for most performances missed he’d be in with a chance…

Perhaps if there was one for most performances missed he’d be in with a chance… I don't doubt Myles' talent - and have enjoyed his MJ shows. But it does feel unfair when Kieran as alternate and Kwame as understudy have basically kept the show running for the last 4-5 months ... Kwame at least got recognition recently as best graduate, Kieran stands to be overlooked entirely.

Doesnt look as if other cast members are sharing his nomination but sharing the other 2 nominations for the show…could be telling…

Myles was back for tonight’s show, but was announced indisposed at the interval and Kieran took over.
Myles’ dancing as effortless as usual but it did feel like he was just running his lines and had very little acting energy so he’s clearly unwell (or very bored)!
Seeing Myles and Kieran in the same show was interesting - there is little to separate them skillwise in my view, unlike with the standbys where the lack of experience shows.

I saw his post saying he was sick on Thursday. Maybe suffering from jetlag still or caught a virus on flight back here. If it is a case of boredom, then surely the producers would do something about it 🤔

Whether the misses are due to ill, injured, or bored I haven't seen much coverage of Myles Frost since the show opened - on mainstream media, that is. The production could have played high status and touted him as the star Broadway was gifting us, and that we would get to know and embrace as our own. Perhaps Myles just doesn't see a market for himself in London/UK in future and so it's not worth it to try and embed. He just seems completely under the radar.
Or have I missed guest and chatshow appearances in various places?

Or have I missed guest and chatshow appearances in various places? They did a performance of Beat It on This Morning I believe, followed by a short interview, but that’s been it that I’ve seen so you might be right, he’s just not as ‘sellable’ here. I’ve only seen one promotional post by MJ the Musical itself that references Myles and his Tony award directly. I wonder if they’re focusing less on that now given it feels a bit unfair to the others …
