I'm trying to get a sense of which seats are made available for the Friday 40. Based on prior comments here, it seems seats were available in the stalls in row AA, row BB, and G 21 and 22. If you won the Friday 40, can you post (or direct message me) which row and seats you got?

Seating wise for Part 2 I still have the same feelings about being at the back as I did in Part 1. What a magical two nights of theatre. Glad you enjoyed it! I get excited from just reading the positive reactions... can't wait for my turn to experience it. For anyone who's interested, they now have an online store selling the official merchandise: cursedchildstore.com/So classy I bet Chanel designed it Just what we need More pointless sh*t cluttering the earth

I went to the box office a few weeks ago to ask when tickets could be picked up...they said tickets can only be collected no more than 2 weeks before. Has anyone been able to pick up tickets in the days ahead of the performance? Or do they have them ready strictly on the day of the performance only?

Woohoo! I've finally managed to pick up a ticket to see part one for the first time and part two again, on July 28-29. It offered me the very end of stalls row D (behind a pillar) first time, so I opened up another browser and tried again and this time got centre row J. And I've managed to pick up return trains for both days in the Virgin sale for £8 return each day. Result!

I've got tickets for those shows as well, it will then be my second time watching both parts. But I'm in the dress circle for this one!

I've just checked my email confirmation and I am going to see both parts on 5th October, it says that they will be posted out to me 2 weeks before the show.

Me again, sorry. Those who have been recently - is the 'you must turn up an hour before' rule still in force? I'm a solo theatregoer so that could be pretty dull and awkward for me. Given that I won't have a bag with me and I don't want any merchandise/food/drink, just a quick loo trip and to watch the show, will turning up 20-30 mins in advance be OK?

Part one I got to the theatre 20 minutes before the show (got stuck in traffic) - Sailed through no problem Part two I got to the theatre about 35 minutes before the show - Sailed through no problem. My other half who got there about an hour before had to queue for a bit before. If you don't have a bag you're fine but if you do they will check it. They seem to have got it down to a fine art now so a full hour isn't necessary I think.

The queue goes much quicker than I'd expected, so if you're not planning on buying anything, you should be absolutely fine.

Anyone sat on back row (row I) of dress circle? TM has them as red. Stupidly when I bought them I thought it was row 1!

I've tested them at other productions, and they are very, very average seats indeed. Not great legroom, view OK if nobody tall is in front. I think top price is greedy, but they are no worse than other seats they charge the same for, I think. ay. [ Bumwillies

Hmm, really not convinced by this I'm afraid. The actors are speaking far too fast. Poor Noma has fluffed at least 3 times and it's simply due to the speed of her delivery.
I have next to no clue about the actual plot because the lines are so garbled. it's like someone's said 'hurry through the boring exposition, guys!' But it's not boring - it's important.
On the plus side, some of the acting is great (though some sadly wooden), there are plenty of laughs and I love the stage magic.
Let's see what act 2 brings...

The bag checks aren't very thorough. I put my bag on the table and they literally just lifted the umbrella that was in the top a little and didn't even look under it. I took advantage of this and took my own food and drink in for part 2.

For people worried about tickets turning up in the post and when, I gave them a ring a few days ago because I'm now less than a week away and nothing yet. They advised waiting until 3 days before the show and then if still nothing phone up so they can cancel the tickets and you can pick them up at the box office.

Three quarters of the way through today's performance - plenty of twists and turns, I can definitely understand this plot would never work in a standard two act format.
Mind, at one point in the first half I did think that the plot belonged more in Doctor Who than Harry Potter..
I share the thoughts other have mentioned over the last month that it's a shame we don't have a complete cast list by characters - however there would definitely be a few spoilers if that were the case.

Have they installed a new curtain tonight or has that always been there? YES! I thought that. There was definitely no curtain when I went at the end of June and went again tonight and there was one down. Love the design on it.

I thought it was black with projection..
