I liked the idea of the challenge, but it didnt work. And having the 'bad twin' onstage was annoying. They definitely have Aquaria as their favourite. They told other girls about not having a ying/yang costume, but they didnt care when Aquaria did her own thing.
Kameron has no chance of winning, so its one of the other 3. Its a hard race to call.

Not sure what the point of this week's episode was. It was another treading water exercise. The format is going to need a refresh of it is going to continue to thrive.
It is all rather dragged out at the moment...

I thought this weeks episode was fantastic and showed exactely why each of them deserve to be there and i'm glad they all got through to the final. Everyone got a moment to shine this week and i thought their final performance was one of the best of any season. They all delivered. Kameron looked gorgeous in the final runway.
Aquaria has grown on me and think she'll probably take the crown after the judges comments this week. Though her confidence after her not so great song recording made me laugh

Agree. I knew they would all get through but I enjoyed the episode despite this.
I’ve done a complete 180 and I think I want Eureka to win. She is so infectiously funny, when she laughs, I laugh. She just seems adorable and self aware and in the confessional that terrible sweater and Polo shirt with the rolled up collar... this makes me love her.
I’ve also fallen for Aquaria. The enthusiasm is infectious, I think she is fabulous. Either of those two winning will be ok for me.

To be honest, if any of them win it would be ok for me. I’m super-casual about it henny.

I don't get Aquaria. Yes, she can pull off a look. But her performance skills are largely untested, I don't find any warmth there and her comedy is weak. Great for Instagram but can't imagine going to see her live.
Asia is the other I can't warm to. There is a sour edge to her (at least in the edit) and I just don't think she offers anything special to set her apart.
It is being set up for an Aquaria win and that is frustrating. We have had look queen winners before like Violet and they just don't do much to enhance the world of drag which is all about live performance for me. Personality is vital and Aquaria does not have a strong one.
She might develop into a stage performer but she is not there yet.

I don’t know to what extent that walk-off was planned, if at all, but I think it’s a bit rich that Rupaul was effectively slagging off The Vixen for being herself when that’s what they continually tell contestants to do.
And all that “I was hated by whites for being black, I was hated by blacks for being gay, I was hated by gays for being femme but I knew how to behave to get to where I am today”.... that was 30 years ago hun. Unless he’s suggesting that black, gay people in the entertainment industry still need to zip it, smile and be nice in order to get on? Because its 2018 now. The whole act (because of course that’s what it is) has gaping holes in it, and any inconsistencies are just brushed aside with some cod-psychobabble and an “everybody say LOVE”
Ru has given us a lot of entertainment over the years but whilst he’s no doubt shrewd he doesn’t strike me as a particularly bright or sympathetic person as “himself”. I listen to his podcast and its hard for someone to chat for 90 minutes a week without exposing elements of their real persona. Don’t even get me started on Visage.
Can we get an Amen in here? 🙏🏻

The Vixen was spoiling for a fight from her very first appearance on screen. She instigated a lot of bad feeling by trying to play people off against each other.
No doubt that is why the producers cast her. It certainly wasn't for the quality of her fashion or make-up - which were nearly always well below par. And if you look at her lip sync battles, she relied very, very heavily on gymnastics and death drops because that way everyone was looking at her body and not her lips (which frequently did not know the words)
Did Eureka try to goad her? Yes - but my impression was that it was only to push her in the same way she had been behaving towards others. Not fair - but understandable.
And what Ru was trying to get her to see was that you need to find a way to co-exist in the professional sphere. Something that Vixen was not prepared to hear and certainly not to take on board.
Yes, she is clearly fighting a number of demons of some sort or another. Yes, she needs support. But she has to be willing to listen and to accept that support. She has not yet demonstrated that.
Her behaviour during the reunion is why she hasn't been invited back for AS4 - even though it was very much on the cards that she would (either to provide her with a redemption arc or just to play the villain again)
Everyone has to work out how to behave professionally in their chosen sphere. That doesn't mean always having to 'zip it, smile' etc. It means finding a way to co-exist with your colleagues based on respect. If you don't respect them, they sure as hell aren't going to respect you. Fight for what you believe in - but that doesn't mean being in permanent combat mode.

Vixen has no control on her temper, she doesn't know when to walk away, or even how to discuss something. She seems to always be on attack mode. When she tried to call out Aquaria about Miss Cracker, she was doing it purely to sh*t stir. It was nothing to do with her yet threw herself right in..
I don't believe Eureka started that fight on Untucked on purpose, as some people are saying online, She made a snide comment to Vixen, but then Vixen launched into about how she never liked her before she even met her.
Yes i understand that Vixen has dealt with alot of adversity and trouble in her life, But you cant be that angry all the time. It doesnt get you anywhere.
The whole reunion felt like some bizarre therapy session with Ru calling out everyone's issues.
Also, Asia's comments after Vixen walked off felt like she was in a pageant. If she was that much of a sister she'd have gone after her and screw the show, but Asia is in it to win.

Ru is punishing the Vixen because she won’t play Ru’s. game. Ru just wants your tears (thank you Dusty and Miss St Claire) she moisturisers with them.
Vixen was at the finale, so it’s all just TV.

I have no idea what bad things are in Vixen's past - but whatever it is, she does not have the right to be as disrespectful as she has been.
It is one thing to fight her corner - and another to refuse to listen or admit any personal responsibility.
She will only be respected once she learns how to respect others. That doesn't mean having to like everyone or to conform to some norm - it means channelling her aggression in a more positive way, it means learning how to listen and learn from your own mistakes. We all make them. Even the Vixen.
Vixen may well be very damaged - I don't know. But I think it was a mistake to expose her to the pressures of this sort of competition at this stage. The producers wanted a villain for the season - and got one. But that was probably not the best thing for all involved.

{Spoiler - click to view} Well that was the least surprising victory ever. Aquaria lost her lipsync to Eureka by a wide margin but was given a lifeline she hadn't really deserved. I will grant that she won the final lipsync - but only by virtue of her props. The actual performance was too frenetic to mean anything - but the confetti cannons distracted from that.
It is hard to say how it would have gone if it had just been Cameron v Eureka as it should have been. Probably Cameron - who really is a lipsync assassin.
However the evening will be remembered for Asia's utterly bizarre attempt to use live butterflies in her battle. The few that survived their encasement in her wrist bands and bad fake breasts could barely move their wings. The rest were DOA. It was utterly embarrassing. I don't think she could have out performed Cameron - but she will now be remembered as the butterfly killer.
I don't think this has been a great season. It was so clearly a set-up for Aquaria that it really lacked tension.
Drag is about more than look queens. We have had plenty from that category win.
I was Team Cracker for a long time - but would have been happy with a Cameron or Eureka win. Both represent different approaches to drag from anything we have seen win before.
Aquaria will grow and develop. But she is not an all-rounder yet.

Asia’s lip sync was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. I felt genuinely sad watching.
Eureka and Aquaria’s battle was boring, as was Eureka’s second round. The reveal outfits were just plain ugly - costume reveals leave us gagging when the outfit isn’t obviously hiding another underneath.
I’m not fussed over the overall winner as the finale and entire season appeared to be engineered for that outcome. I hope we have a better season coming next year as this one was not for the herstory books, henny.
Favourite moments though: Brown cow, stunning. First mini catwalk challenge for previous queens. Sponge dress. And how can we forget... Miss... Vanjie...

I am so baffled by Asia. Did she deliberately lose? Why did she think that live butterflies would work? She paid absolutely NO notice of the song she was meant to be lip-synching to, They obviously knew it was a Janet Jackson song and yet she thought, hey, i'll reveal some dead butterflies cos that will really win them over.... WTF?? even the audience were shocked. And for Ru to then save Aquaria AND Eureka, just goes to show up Asia even more, though for me personally, Eureka was better in their first perofrmance. Aquaria was the better performer in the final lip-synch but it wasnt much of a battle. Overall i thought it was the best season in a long time, because of the queens they cast. Not all challenge was a success but the looks and effort this year was fantastic.

Asia was trying way too hard to be Mother bloody Theresa. She deserved the boot. Fake fake fake.
The whole thing was geared to Aquaria winning. No idea why, I thought her performances in the final were her worst ever. I’d have put both Eureka and Kameron before Aquaria.
It was all a bit crap though. It’s always the case, the race is more fun than the winning.

I actually was a little dissapointed this Season. Drag Race peak with Season 6, I think that is just an accepted thing now. Then you had 7 which was awful. 8 was fine, but 9 was a high climb for me with alot of memorable moments and queens (even though Shae was robbed). This year, it has kinda gone back to 8's level, so kinda middle ground.

Sasha won last year because of the rose petal reveal/gimmick and Asia thought it would work for her this year. It didn't and failed miserably. Hopefully now no one will bother again and it can just be on talent.
I'm not sure I even like them lip synching for the crown.

The final should be a combination of looks, lip-sync and more general performance talents (whether that is dance, singing, comedy or whatever)
There is more to drag than lip-sync...

After not being an Aquaria fan at the beginning, she grew on me as the series progressed and she was definitely a deserved winner by the end. I can't fault much about her!
On another note, I'm an avid fan on the Reddit page for the show and for anyone who is interested, Season 11 has already nearly finished filming even though it won't be on until early next year! You can find the leaked cast on there. All Stars 4 starts filming in the next few weeks too in which you can find the (not 100% confirmed) leaked cast on there also.
We've been spoilt with 5 months straight of the show this year.

Highlights of the finale for me;
Season one queens with season ten lighting The return of Nina Flowers Sasha’s outfit Vixen’s black power salute when she hit the end of the run way The montage of Aquaria’s lewks; made me realise she turned it out week after week after week Proportionising Glitter cannons. At least they made a change from costume reveals and cartwheels.
I didn’t really care who won, which made a change. At this point I am ambivalent about next season. It needs a reboot (or toot).

Jack and Joel from last year's X Factor did a RuPaul medley at Pride in London which has just appeared on YouTube.
Fab-u-lous!

Not sure if it’s worth making a new thread or not but Michelle’s casting in Jamie got me thinking about whether any other Ru girls would maybe one day do a musical? There aren’t a huge amount of roles available for drag queens but I can certainly see someone like Ginjer Minj as Edna in Hairspray. I’m surprised a Ru girl like Shangela never played Lola at any point
