I think Oklahoma will go to Wyndhams but could Fairview be the transfer announcement today? I read an interview with Kwame the other day and he said there would be further West End transfers coming in addition to Best of Enemies. They tweeted yesterday about Fairview which I was surprised didn't transfer at the time. Oklahoma! it is. Great to have it confirmed. Just wonder what other transfer the YV has in the pipeline?

I'm not sure Fairview is an easy sell commercially, The Collaboration might be a possibility after the Broadway run although depends on cast availability.

I can’t see this selling out in the west end.
I hated it, but I’m glad it’s got a further life as I know many couldn’t get in at the YV.

I loved it in New York and the Young Vic (gave it a different dynamic although those lights......TOO BRIGHT AND WAY TOO HOT) I don't think I will see this again; as twice is enough for me personally. Intrigued how they are going to stage this.

The Broadway production only did 9 months so I expect the West End run will probably be 4-6 month tops.

That’s a safe way to play it. If it sells well- they can extend. If it struggles- they can usually complete the 12 weeks.
Have to say it’s a major loss not having Marisha in this.

And if they get a raft of Olivier Award nominations/wins they can quickly extend...

It says cast to be announced, is it for certain she won’t be? I didn’t get to see this at the Young Vic, I’ll def try and see it when it transfers. I’d love it if Arthur Darvill came with it too. I remember him in Once and he was great in that.

I think this is such an odd choice for a transfer. I liked it in some ways but where it worked for me was definitely entangled within the intimate setting of the Young Vic wooden barn they created. The notion of this version of Oklahoma succeeding with a proscenium arch to a fairly big house is silly. It's good financially and for the wider industry when successful shows transfer out of small venues to the West End, this is not the show to do it with.

Could they not transfer it in the immersive style like The Jungle was at the Playhouse?

6 months is quite the gamble.
Whilst its an excellent production (I thought) it is marmite as reviewers on here have said. Whoever replaces Marisha needs to be stellar as that's a big gap to fill, and I really hope Patrick Vaill comes back because he's easily the best thing in it.

Agree about Patrick Vaill, he's absolutely mesmerising. He has liked the recent social media posts so I suspect he will definitely be on board for the transfer.
