Wouldn’t it have been quicker to just say the time, rather than self promote? Not sure why the snark. I very much appreciate mkb’s running times and up I’m sure many others find them useful too. If in future they want to direct people to a specific post we have a “link to post” feature but it’s certainly not compulsory. The matter of people choosing not to read the thread before asking questions that have been answered a dozen times is one we will not solve here so let’s embrace it 🙂 People can read a thread. But asking people to remember a post from over two weeks ago is a bit much, but then, you’ve spoken so I give up.

You were needlessly rude & condescending, is all. We can talk around it if you like, but rude is rude.

There's a bit of talk on social media from people who were there on the show stop night. It seems that the issue was never properly solved and they didn't get the full experience even when it restarted.
A few people are sad that no apologies have been offered or offer to see the show another time.
I hope the Voyage team address the issue soon as so far people have only ever raved about the whole thing, customer experience included.

Teared up a bit when ‘Chiquitita’ came on in the car earlier. I don’t think the memory of that sun and that song will ever leave me.

2nd visit today and just as good as first time. One of the best bits is the audience. 3000 people just baking the best time singing, dancing and actually talking to each other. This is my new happy place.

We have booked some slightly cheaper tickets to this in Row N block F right on the side. Has anyone seen this from side blocks? Was the 'illusion' still convincing?
Really looking forward to this. Have heard the whole experience is first class from the venue to the seat comfort to the performance!

Yes its fine. It’s not really the ‘illusion’ that matters. It’s being in a room full of people going crazy for something they never thought they’d experience in a room with others. Enjoy x

Please tell me it's so loud in the auditorium that you can't hear how bad your "friends" are at singing Abba. Some of the bootleg footage is excruciating to listen to.

Yes it's so loud you won't hear. Both times I've been my friends made no comment about my singing so I'm sure they couldn't hear. And both times I've had a horse voice the next day.

Again, I would say it’s about embracing the joy. Sure you might get stuck next to some foghorn, but just have another wine and give yourself over to it.

Thank you for the music ABBA. Having just left the arena all I can say is that the concert just exceeded all my expectations and I had a fantastic 90 minutes on the dance floor singing, dancing, clapping along waving my arms in the air along with everyone else to make a really memorable afternoon. The venue is great place with really helpful staff who told us that to get the best out of the dance floor experience is to stand in the middle / back of the arena floor. Following their advice I picked my spot half way on the floor ready for the show.
For the show itself, it’s just a breathtaking technological achievement. The avatars look great and along with the stunning live band, lighting design and video screen really brought those timeless ABBA classics and their newer stuff to life. Listening to those songs you realise the great craftsmanship of benny and bjorn in their writing and the stunning vocals of agnetha and Anni-frid in singing these songs and why ABBA has been successful over the years. Despite some of those songs being nearly 50 years old, listening to them they still sound great and appeal across the generations. What was nice to see today was the vast range of fan ages from teens to 70+ having a great time and being in that arena with what must have been around 3k fans having a great time with some plenty coming dressed as ABBA was just a really positive afternoon and enjoying the music and having a real party atmosphere.
For the set list, it certainly ticked all the boxes for me and I got to hear the majority of songs I wanted to hear on my wish list I posted earlier in this thread. I was suspect that with any concert is was going to be a difficult decision which songs to play and I’m sure that there will be some swapping around as time goes on.

Whilst I didn't necessarily have a problem with the set list, personally I thought starting with The Visitors and Hole In Your Soul were odd choices to start with but hey, hum.... that's just me.

I definitely agree with you about the opening numbers anthony40 and I would of swapped the last 2 songs around myself.

I think the last song was a perfect finish. As if they are thanking the audience.

Given the emotional impact that both Slipping Through My Fingers and My Love,My Life had in the films, maybe replace one of those two with one of those or SuperTrouper

I certainly hope the visitors remains the opener for some time to come and that the current success and reaction the current show format is having means they don't change the show set list for a while unless the ABBA members decide to . That is the wonderful thing about the concert set list it is ABBA generated. Any concert has set lists decisions and sometimes odd choices from a viewer perspective but it does give us a view point of what songs the group/artist feels best represent them in concert at this stage. It is amazing that ABBA have a strong enough bank of songs that they can play b sides and album tracks which are still recognised by the audience. There are enough tribute bands playing ABBA greatest hits each night if people want that and long time into the future when the ABBA corporation is managing the show I am sure it will be converted into a hits only version, but we can for now enjoy a visual and audio celebration which is fully a ABBA project. As a side note their 1974/5 tour seems to have mainly started with hey hey Helen a b side track and 77 started with tiger a album track (think it was a b side somewhere) only the 79 tour started with an a side voulez vous ( and that starts after a Benny instrumental) so they have form starting a show with less obvious choices , which again makes the voyage opener of the visitors more realistic as a ABBA personal choice than the predictable format of having to get a audience hyped up by starting with a hit.

I mostly agree. 2 back to back fan favourites/album tracks was a bold choice, which I don't think necessarily worked.
Musically, The Visitors sounded brilliant and set the tone of the show very well, and is very much in keeping with big production pop concerts of the last 35 years (i.e. not starting on a massive hit, but a more atmospheric opening number which can quite often be an album track)
But to go straight into Hole In Your Soul, which clashed stylistically, I think lost the audience a bit. Song position 2 needed to be a bona fide "ABBA Gold" hit...

The last time I saw an Abba tribute act (about 15 years ago) they opened with The Visitors. I thought it was brilliant. Given that ‘HIYS’ is one of their most upbeat numbers it fits the bill perfectly to get people up after the more menacing Visitors. If it were me I’d lose ‘When All Is Said & Done’ and replace it with ‘Super Trooper’ as the finale.

Given that the audience are experiencing something they've never seen before, it makes sense to give them the space and time to get their heads around what they're witnessing, so it makes sense not to open with one of the big hits. The Visitors lyric can be interpreted as alien beings arriving on earth for the first time, so it's quite appropriate for this weird concept of a live event. Also, Abba never performed a greatest hits type of show, you always got something unexpected like Agnetha playing one her own songs at the piano, intermezzo number one, or a show within a show mini musical.
