I'm trying to avoid reading this thread to prevent spoilers ahead of my visit tomorrow night, so apologies if this has been answered elsewhere!
Can anyone share details of the food / drink available at the arena? Wondering if it's better / possible to grab something quick nearby or just eat in there for simplicity as I'm not going to have loads of time before the show.
Also - what are the bars like?!
Thanks!

I didnt eat there but there are a few bars around the foyer area which is big but gets busy. Also a champagne bar in the middle of the foyer. Westfield shopping centre which is 1 stop away on the DLR has loads of eating places so might be a better choice. There is also M&S right next to the underground at Stratford and a Pret so you could always grab a sandwich.

Yeah, what they're selling there are things like hot dogs, toasties, that sort of thing.
Heads up, if you're planning on purchasing any merchandise, do it before the concert starts, not after.

The Snoozebox accommodation in shipping containers is across the road. They have a lovely outdoor garden (that anyone can access) with a dj, bar and Indian street food. A bottle of okay wine was £25. I think a curry was around a tenner. It's open before and until 23:00 after.

That doesn't work if you are in the standing area unless you want to carry any purchases throughout. Well, if you're planning on purchasing any merchandise, your choices are as follows: a) do it before the concert starts and carry any purchases throughout; or b) queue at the end as everybody exiting the venue are brushing past you, thus delaying your journey home.

Well the dj couldn't mix, relying on poorly-timed segues instead, but, yes, her choice of pop songs was suitably upbeat and fun. I never understand why venues pay for a dj who can't mix creatively; why not just get computer software to do the job? (To be fair, that's exactly what many venues do now.) There is much to be admired in the craft of a really good dj. It's not that long ago that the top club djs were superstars, worshipped cult-like, and paid megabucks. They've had to go into production now to protect their revenue stream, but the big names of recent times don't seem to produce much music that you'd actually want to get up and dance to -- I'm looking at you Calvin Harris. Oh for the days of Tony de Vit and Andy Farley and Lisa Lashes, and dancing from Saturday night through to Sunday afternoon.

You could also do as I did. Hang around for a bit after the show until the crowds exiting have died down and then you have time to view the merch. Also by the time you get to the DLR there is no queue for the train. There is also a merch stand outside the entrance which has most of what they sell inside except the limited edition stuff and the water bottles.

With the Abbatars will we ever get an Adeletar as she is only doing the two London shows this year. You could have the image getting more svelte as she goes through her catalogue.

I’d have gone for Kasey Musgraves & Self Esteem who were elsewhere on the bill. I can’t get excited by Adele.

The web shop pages on the Abbavoyage.com site have been updated and show all the items for sale at the arena so you can decide what you want before and a lot of the main items are available from several places at the arena to save queuing at the main store.
They have added some items since the opening and the previous merch shopping page is now a multi page experience, they certainly have realised the demand for items, providing you have all items delivered in one go , and at present everything seems to be in stock postage is not too bad and saves you carrying the stuff at the concert or back from London.
I keep telling myself I really don't need the £100 ABBA throw/ blanket but on next visit will be getting the ABBA logo fridge magnet set, and the logo tray, and ..., well at least know I can pass on the drumsticks embossed with the wording "can you hear the drums"

Was told they didn't do them.and that quite a few people had asked about them. I suggested they have a word with the producers so looks like they did. I'm there again next week so Will definately be getting a fridge magnet.

She is dreary enough live without having a hologram of her. Maybe she could do a hologram duet shown with Morissey and make people really suicidal.

I'm sure Morrissey would be offended and protest against the idea of a hologram/Adele/the venue's policies/anything else he can think of, making it a non-starter.

To be honest that isn't bad, the first show stop we have heard about considering how technical the whole thing is.

I imagine that wasn't very fun! Did they offer a refund? Or a free drink at least?

Can someone tell me how long the show lasts please? I've seen messages saying it needed to be about 15 mins longer, but I can't see an actual running time anywhere? Many thanks I always put my experience of running times (rounded to the previous minute) in any mini-reviews I post. See my 14 June posting in this thread, but, obviously, every day could be different, especially with regards to how late they start. Wouldn’t it have been quicker to just say the time, rather than self promote?

Wouldn’t it have been quicker to just say the time, rather than self promote? Self-promotion was not on my mind. Perhaps, it says more about you that you assumed it was? Rather, it was an exceptionally gentle admonishment of that thing some people do of asking questions that they'd know the answer to if only they read a little recent history of the thread they are posting to. Actually, re-reading, it wasn't even an admonishment; just trying to steer the questioner towards research first. When I've seen a show, I often find myself reading the thread about it on here from start to end, and it's striking how often the same questions or discussion points get repeated just a few pages apart. I've never seen the point of posting to social media unless you're contributing something new to the conversation.

Wouldn’t it have been quicker to just say the time, rather than self promote? Not sure why the snark. I very much appreciate mkb’s running times and up I’m sure many others find them useful too. If in future they want to direct people to a specific post we have a “link to post” feature but it’s certainly not compulsory. The matter of people choosing not to read the thread before asking questions that have been answered a dozen times is one we will not solve here so let’s embrace it 🙂
