Hi everyone, I am selling 2 x tickets for Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday 16th April 2022. The performance time is 7.30pm, with a club entry time of 7pm. Seats are STALLS P5-P6 I paid £109.15 for both tickets including transaction fee, but I would be happy to resell for £80 total (£40 p/ ticket). Please note that this performance is after Eddie Redmayne & Jessie Buckley leave the production. I have already been sent the e-tickets by ATG so will be happy to forward these straight across to anyone who would like to buy them. Saw the show this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was sat in front row of dress circle and had a perfect view of everything, so well worth it for the £50 ticket price. Didn't like all the fuss about entry- thought all the meandering around the basement wasn't worth all the hassle, there was a lot of standing around in narrow corridors and actually felt quite claustrophobic at one point. I loved Amy's portrayal of Sally and the title song gave me goosebumps when it's actually viewed in context. This is one of the few productions I've seen where I could believe the relationship between Sally and Cliff and also with Frauline Schneider and Herr Schultz.

I think this is the first time the Critics Circle awarded a lead performer from a musical to win Best Actor/Actress. They’re often biased towards dramas/straight plays so Jessie’s win is a refreshing take. The Best Musical category is open for new musicals and revivals, while there is no Best Play Revival category.

Not taking anything away from Jessie's win, but the drama category for women had been really dire the past year (just have a look at the Olivier nominees) , apart from Cush Jumbo who was always going to win for Shakespearean perf.

Surprising number of empty seats tonight and a very flat audience. But I loved the design and feel of the show. Fra Fee was good and I loved Viv Parry for her effortlessly nuanced performance. The stars of the show are the creatives...Tom Scutt especially.

The combination of widespread COVID and the policy of maintaining pricing at the level set for the previous star casting is bound to have an impact.

They have finally put the 21st April on sale. Plenty of seats available for this date in all prices if anyone is looking for options

Just out of Gala Night. I liked it, didn’t love it. The melodies and choreography in Act 1 is a bit repetitive, and some of it is rather grotesque. I absolutely appreciate the need for such excess and hedonism however. You get so caught up in the revelry that when the first Nazi reveal happens, its a real shock; up until that point I had completely forgotten about that subplot!
Act 2 is much stronger in my opinion. It’s much darker and I preferred the scenes outside the Kit Kat Club. Amy Lennox’s performance of Cabaret is worth the ticket price alone. Fra Free is a totally menacing Emcee.
I was sat front row of the dress circle, but I imagine any seat in the house would have provided a good view!

Well, Martine got one for her half a run in MFL so theres no reason why Jessie can’t do the same. Do you get a whole trophy or just the front half?

David Tennant deserved his Hamlet accolades as well. The takeaway is that most people who saw Jessie in the role feel extra lucky to have done so.

I fully respect Taron Edgerton for having the balls to pull out of ‘Cock’ rather than let people down with a halfy halfy ‘I might be well enough’ mentality.
