Fra Free Is taking over as Emcee- until June I like him well enough but not so much that I'd be willing to pay the prices they are charging! I do have my original tickets from before Christmas transferred over though so I'll be seeing him anyway. I had heard Sally was a bigger name (don't know who though) - that better be true but it wouldn't be that difficult as Fra Fee isn't well-known.

The only cast board I saw is right at the front of the foyer beside the champagne bar, where the theatre entrance used to be. It's in an awful place as it's right beside where the free drinks are handed out! The basement bar was quite the experience. I eventually made my way through and got to the cast board. Was told no photos! I get that but put it outdoors so we can do it first. Anyway, looks like Jessie is back. They weren't stopping anyone taking photos of the board when I was there last month! Hope you are enjoying it!

If it is Fra then I’ll be very interested to see how he interprets the role - so much of Eddie’s portrayal plays with his puppet-like physicality and almost contortions of his very slender body. Last time I saw Fra on stage he was looking quite built so will have a very different presence.

Hm, I do think that Fra Fee's Two Ladies will be worth the ticket price, and it won't be for the signing or the acting.

And according to his Twitter, he saw the show last week too and very much enjoyed it! I’d post the screenshot if I knew how :-)

So do we assume that the Sally is the star casting this time then?

So it’s Fra Fee and Nicola Coughlan? Jeez… that’s underwhelming.

I think it's very intriguing casting, since both will have to go for a radically different version of the characters from Redmayne's and Buckley's. I think Coughlan might have more appeal than people here think, but yeah they'll need to lower the prices for sure.

I think the promo will say star or Derry Girls AND Brigerton as the latter had a huge audience and the 2nd series coming out in March.

Emily Benjamin (u/s Sally) is apparently in Covid-related isolation, per their Instagram.

Ah Nicola Coughlan would have had me intrigued to see it again.
Back to waiting to see who has actually been cast as Sally!

I literally hadn't heard of Fra Fee, and I follow and work in theatre. Not exactly inspiring.

Yeah, it's interesting, but I cannot see people shelling out the big money for those two and I'd imagine they'll have some empty tables. Is this confirmed now?

If she's been absent for this length of time I'm assuming unwell or injured. She's not just off for the lols

Spotted on Twitter that the 2nd cover Sally Bowles is on for today's matinee. Where is Jessie Buckley? I was told by the staff at the theatre that Jessie Buckley is taking a break following doctor’s recommendation. The actress who replaced her this afternoon, Sally Frith, did an absolutely astounding job. It was hard to believe it was her first time ever on. She was visibly in tears in the final bow partly no doubt by the enthusiastic public response. I ‘m still gobsmacked at how good I thought she was.

Ah maybe Buckley has hurt her voice then (I wouldn't be surprised with all the shouting she does in the role)? It would make sense then why she'd be able to do the trailer while not being up to performing the full show.

Hoping Buckley is back for Monday evening, but either actor covering Sally has received sparkling notices. Will be slightly disappointed, but that’s the gamble with live theatre.
