Buckley was out again tonite. But Emily Benjamin, the stand-in, is amazing - great voice and actor. We enjoyed this (with our two teens, 15 and 17). Front row Upper Circle, £50 each, felt worth it. Redmayne isn't a natural for the role of MC (he lacks the sheer sense of fun and danger than Cummings brought to the role) but he is excellent and has an impressive voice (though once or twice he seemed to be over-enunciating). He looks eerily appropriate with the blond hair for the final scenes. |

Buckley was out again tonite. I’m happy to see either tonight but wish I knew! Hopefully there is a cast board for the basement bat so I don’t have to go to the other bar to find our! |

The only cast board I saw is right at the front of the foyer beside the champagne bar, where the theatre entrance used to be. It's in an awful place as it's right beside where the free drinks are handed out! |

Lahr (who I posted about in the Anything Goes as well; very worth reading for those who like to read reviews), reviewed this as well ( perhaps the only critic to have seen the original Broadway version to have done so, I think). Come to the Cabaret "In the original Broadway version Joel Grey played him as pandering; in the Broadway revival Alan Cumming made him salacious; and in Eddie Redmayne’s current thrilling interpretation, he is reptilian" |

By my estimation (from what I've seen on the Twitter) she has only been on 4 or 5 times in the last fortnight - but I don't know any more than that. |

How much do people pay attention to Oscar nominations ? Wins of course, but noms? Anyhow, I think Buckley might have genuinely been ill or fatigued or something, because I find it hard to believe that any producer would be giving this much leave otherwise. Plus, her next job seems to be a film starting in September (really looking forward to that one) , so it seems unlikely she had other commitments. |

Fre was going to do Beauty and The beast Prequel that was cancelled right before taping. Curious if he was doing that , then they had no replacement?
I’m not up to date on west end protocol , just find it strange that no replacement has been announce with four weeks till they start.
Also, if we go by Instagram following by cast then Nicola Coughlin is Sally.

He was very good in Candide at the Menier and he has quite a quirky look about him but he ain't worth £250 a shot and not well known at all outside of MT circles.

Yes, I noticed. He's matched the characters to the actors correctly, but seems to have misspoken on which of them were the older couple.
