It will almost certainly be fine. I’m sure they’ll power through and open on time.
I’ve often worked on shows where I’ve thought there’s no way this will all come together in time, and somehow it does.

I have no evidence that the building works is behind schedule - I was surmising that they had only previously released the stalls seats as a precautionary measure. I'm thinking, like you, that putting all these dress circle and upper circle seats on sale four weeks in advance means they may now be more confident that the work will be completed on time. Upper levels were definitely on sale before, I’ve booked there. Likely some held back for sight lines etc… but they definitely weren’t entirely off sale

Love theatre website sent a email ref the new tickets which then went to a page for December and a banner stating tickets from £285! Ridiculous price to charge - or pay - to see a two hour show. £570 for a pair, excluding travel and refreshments, unbelievable. Sheer and utter greed.

Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley on Graham Norton tonight! Well based on the 20 minute queue to get on the website now their appearance has done the job - until they see the prices atleast

Regarding the discussion of whether this will open on time, on the official hospitality site they're advertising this as 17 December to 19 March: www.markbutler.co.uk/

I didn’t realise how late in December the opening night is. I am going only a few days afterwards. As I have posted before through I am expecting at least one of the main two to be off because it’s a midweek matinee.

I'm in on the 18th Nov, way back in the upper circle. If it's not great then i've got time to get rid of the expensive stalls seat in January.

E-tickets have gone out for the 15th November too - assume they're on track.

I’m hopeful too but have received e-tickets for already cancelled shows before so won’t count my chickens quite yet.

Mine through too. Check your e mail carefully.
Due to the intimacy of this production, all visitors to the Kit Kat Club over the age of 18 must demonstrate documentation of a negative Lateral Flow or PCR test – including those who are fully vaccinated. The test must have been completed within 48hrs of the performance, and visitors will need to show an NHS email or text message to prove their negative result. So everyone has to have a negative test result no matter whether double jabbed. I bet a lot of people won't read that bit.

AJ Casey says they're moving into the theatre tomorrow, so I guess they're on schedule.

Due to the intimacy of this production, And they REALLY had to stage it that way in the middle (or towards the end) of a global pandemic?! And force people to fork out for a pricey test on top of super expensive tickets? I don't think they will get away with that.

How closely are they planning to pack people in for this thing? Are you going to be elbowing your neighbour while tucking into your chicken-in-a-basket? Aeroplane style dining where you have to point your knife and fork in from above like a demented praying mantis? And for this they want how much?

I'm expecting our cabaret table to be about the size of a pound coin and the seats only able to fit one bum cheek.

The NHS free test will be acceptable as its a lateral flow test. Will this be available to visiting foreigners/tourists too?

When we were only just coming out of lockdown they were giving them out at any chemist for free, no questions asked. Not sure if this is still the case now but if it is visitors from abroad would be able to get them there.

The person I am going with is currently now refusing to go because of this. Think they will be a reasonable amount of cancellations because of this. And even more people caught out on the door.
Free Lateral flow tests are set to be scrapped soon anyway. What happens then?
