What are the chances that those problematic tickets become a whole lot less problematic Mon -Thur once the run beds in?

Love theatre website sent a email ref the new tickets which then went to a page for December and a banner stating tickets from £285! I got the same e mail this morning and thought I would just check to see where these seats were. Looks like its a row of seats in the stalls. Then had a mad panic as when I looked at the seating plan my table in the stalls wasn't there. In fact there was a whole section of front tables missing. I wondered if they had re-configured the seating and taken out all these tables but no one had contacted me. Panic over as I then went to the ATG website and looked at the seating plan and everything is fine. Phew! Looks as if Love Theatre haven't reproduced the seating plan correctly. However, strangely enough there seems to be absolutely loads of seats available on the ATG site at all prices. I was looking at my date with is one of the first previews and there are whole rows of seats available in stalls and dress circle with some in the upper circle for £70. What is going on as this show was meant to have sold out months ago. How come whole rows of seats are now available? I can understand nearer the time one or two seats get released when the seating is fixed but so many seems very odd.

I got a ticket in the first round of sales in Row H of the stalls for £60 for preview week. I’ve checked the site again and now seats in the same row on the same night are priced at £155!!!!!!! Madness!

LOL, holy ***, you're right, the seat I bought for £90 (which was steep enough as it is) is now at £175 when it's available.

Who are the understudies likely to be. I am going mid week next Christmas so expecting at least one of Eddie or Jessie to be off. Hopefully not both of them,

Eddie and Jessie are on Graham Norton next Friday Sending them out to flog those problematic £285 tickets probably. There's plenty of those buggers left! it's the cheap ones that have gone!

Anyone heard of further casting for Cabaret? Less than a month before it opens so rehearsals must have started by now.

Thanks for that. Senior moment! And I now remember commenting about AJ Casey being cast.

Another batch of seats released, this time for w/c 22 November - inc upper circle at £40 and £25. That's quite a lot of seats bar the table/dining ones, across all price ranges and good seats too on all days. Were these dates in the original presale period or new previews dates?

Yeah they were part of the original dates but oddly it seems they didn't sell much of it!

I do wonder whether a large number of seats for the preview period were held back because there weren't quite sure whether all the building work would be completed in time - and they were prioritising getting the stage and expensive stalls areas ready before the dress and upper circle.
Who knows - but it's all very odd.

I wouldn’t be booking for an early preview. I know a few people working on it and they have all said the same thing- there’s NO way the theatre will be ready.
Normally they would be able to throw more crew at it and get it done, but there’s a chronic shortage of people at the moment as all new shows are finding out.

Well that's my birthday treat up the swanny. Don’t give up hope. It might all come together in time! But doesn't sound very hopeful at all from what you are saying. Especially as you have insider information and people who say it won't be ready. Ah well pizza at home alone by the sounds of it.

Oh dear. I’m booked for second preview. I wonder if they’ll rebook us into the more expensive unsold seats if they have to cancel (And then I stopped daydreaming)

I've booked one of the front tables which look as if they are pretty much sold out so can't see where they could move me.

Who knows - but it's all very odd. Oh dear. Quite attached to the dates I have. When did you last hear about this? I'm hoping them releasing more seats for the preview week means that there has been some significant progress.

I have no evidence that the building works is behind schedule - I was surmising that they had only previously released the stalls seats as a precautionary measure. I'm thinking, like you, that putting all these dress circle and upper circle seats on sale four weeks in advance means they may now be more confident that the work will be completed on time.
