Haha, I also booked the front row. Even if it's fairly close to the stage, it's still a substantial difference in price to the rows behind. And if they're selling front row like this, it means they won't offer the front row for a dayseat price.
IIRC it's fairly good at the Duke of York's with plenty of space (I last saw The Nether there and Farinelli with its benches) whereas the front row of the Noel Coward next door is VERY close to the stage and not pleasant to sit in.

Booked for this in a mad rush the second it popped up on my twitter feed. Kit Harrington is gorgeous and my boyfriend loves Dr Faustus so that can be my excuse!

Holding out for £15 Mondays... But I see ATG still haven't got me on their email list then, despite saying they had. Might be cancelling that theatrecard next month I think. They're hopeless and the website is worse!

Pretty high, sure, but I wouldn't have said horrendously so. I guess it might depend on your height - I'm 5'5" and it gives me a bit of a neck crick, but I'd rather have that than pay twice the price to sit miles back. And I guess if they do anything cool on floor level then I'm going to miss out, but I'd still rather have that than pay twice the price to sit miles back.

Oh you've got me wondering whether or not to book front row now. If I remember correctly the stage is horrendously high? Sat there 3 times: Speaking in Tongues and Posh were OK, Constellations was a nightmare! |

It was like looking straight up a cliff - a cliff with a protruding overhang. Luckily, the entire show was played right downstage so the actors were mostly visible from the thighs up. |

I went for the front row too. Hoping it's ok but decided I would rather gamble with the height of the stage than have a cut off view with the curvature of the upper circle. |

My first post! Think this is a great play and have booked for the RSC version - I have no idea who this Kit person is so will wait for reviews before I decide to see it again.
Never seen GoT Abby? Amazed 'ere. If you get the chance it's great drama with some very good actors.
I thought the 'The Watchers on the Wall' was the greatest hour of tv, ever... until 'Hardhome' when the Wight Walkers attacked the Wildlings village.

For Constellations and Posh (and I think the one other transfer from the Royal Court in the batch) they had what looked like a stage on top of the stage, hence the neck crick for Constellations in particular. But I've never seen them do that any other time, so I'm hoping for a nice front row Monday ticket.

I know because it did the get in for the tour. It was heavy as all hell too. |

Couldn't resist a Marlowe and am now in possession of a front row seat. Can't be worse than the time I sat behind Mr 7 foot 2 inches and had to stretch like mad to even to look over his shoulder.
Maybe Abby and I need to form a support group for the tv challenged, I also had no idea who Kit Someone is.

Not only TV-challenged, but also War Horse-challenged and Posh-challenged.  Although he was the second ever Albert and only did Posh at the Royal Court, so I suppose it would be more surprising if you did know him from those. Re: the high stage - do I remember correctly that there were steps at the front for Backbeat so it ended up feeling unnervingly accessible from the auditorium? Although as the frontest rows are on sale, I don't suppose Lloyd has anything exciting like planned. Still, we can dream... |

He has done a few films as well (Spooks, Testament Of Youth and Pompeii for starters), all of which are probably in the bargain bin of your nearest DVD emporium if you want to check them out.

I loved the posters for the Spooks movie. I can't take Kit Harington seriously, and they all had "THE GREATER GOOD" written on them, so I just assumed they were for some kind of spoof movie for the longest time.  |

Booked to see this in May. Kicking myself that I didn't book sooner, as I'd have preferred a Saturday matinee, but plumped for a Thursday instead as I'd rather sit front row than risk the upper circle curvature (all my budget can afford!) and front row was sold out for most matinees. I studied Doctor Faustus for uni and thus far I've only experienced radio productions, so I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. And as a big GOT fan, Kit Harington is a bonus |

I enjoy how much Jamie Lloyd likes to use Forbes Masson. Also I would give SO MUCH to see Jade Anouka's Mephistopheles! *wishes really really hard*

I thought Forbes Masson was great in The Ruling Class, really looking forward to this. He was never better than when he was in 'The High Life'. In fact, neither Alan Cumming, Forbes Masson nor Siobhan Redmond have ever reached those sublime heights since in their careers for my money. Piff Paff Poff. |
