That bit in POTO when Raoul and Christine reconnect memories in Little Lotte and he says “and chocolates” and she says “and of playing the violin “ and there’s a very squeaky violin which tickles me no end. 🧀
That bit in Wicked when Dr Dillamond says “Baaaaaaaaaad” kills me every time. 🐐
In the Chicago movie, opening sequence, Velma’s footsteps on that rainy pavement into the niteclub 😍
In the Evita movie in “ I’d be surprisingly good for you” when Peron says “Are you here on your own?” And madonna says “yes,... oh yes”. 😏
In West Side Story when he says “Maria, see only me” and she sings “only you, you’re the only one I’ll see, forever “ 😭

In the lead up to 'And Eve Was Weak' from the original Broadway production of Carrie, Linzi says 'there was a flash and a bang, and a light bulb broke'
I like the inflection in her voice and it always makes me chuckle. The video below plays at that line.
Actually, The whole of 'And Eve Was Weak' 'Carrie' is my favourite obscure thing.

Cosette now I remember, Cosette how can it be... (Les Mis)
You are young, life has been kind to you, you will learn. (Sweeney Todd)
I gave you my music, let your song take will... (Phantom)
We walk proudly, and we walk strong, All together we will go as one, The ground is empty, and cold as hell, But we all go together when we go. (Billy Elliot)
Christ I'm an American, How can I fail to do good? (Miss Saigon)

Despite the disastrous book, lyrics, and characterisations in LND, this bit in "Before the Performance" is lovely:
The crowd will hush *silence* and then in one sweet rush *downward rumble* I will hear you sing once more *swell of music*

From Les Mis:
He thinks he's a perfect lover - BUT there's not much there!!!
When the performer stresses the right innuendo it cracks me up every time

Not sure why I’ve never bothered with Carrie cos this is bonkers! Must research further.

In the lyrics for Finishing The Hat from Sunday in the Park with George
Yes, she looks for me good Let her look for me To tell me why she left me As I always knew she would I had thought she understood They have never understood And no reason that they should But if anybody could....

All of Meryl Streep And her windy scarf during the Winner takes it all in Mamma Mia! Plus the subsequent French and Saunders parody. Perfection!

That gasp during Lead Us Out of the Night in Come From Away reduces me to an emotional wreck no matter how many times I see/hear it.

Les Miz. The bit after the bargain with Cosette & JVJ singing and then heading to Paris.
Its so theatrical. I also loved the original staging with them running into the abyss and the set moving to the centre of the stage for the first time. Goosepimps!

In the Miss Saigon revival, the split second between Kim shooting and Thuy falling, leading into This is the Hour. Goosebumps and tears everytime!

When the revolve turns (turned) leaving Cosette and Eponine facing each other through the fence, living very contrasting lives.

In the Evita film when Che shouts "Eva!" and the water spouts everywhere during 'And the Money kept Rollin in" I agree and I think it's because he's Spanish and he just gets so naturally into it. Just reaffirms by belief that this is (truly) Antonio Banderras' film

The Wicked Witch of the East mini-song in Act 2 of Wicked. I guess it wasn’t included on the album as it’s a mix of song and dialogue, but I’ve always found that moment in the show very affecting. Also from Wicked, the mirroring dance that E & G do together in ‘Dancing Through Life’. It’s a lovely part of the score and a very moving moment in the show.

Every chance I’m wrong but I remember reading somewhere it’s not included so it doesn’t give away the spoiler in what becomes of Boq and who he goes on to be in WoO? I’m loving this post. For me it’s the first four notes (the I Wish I May notes before the ladies fly in Witches of Eastwick. The original house, the three women floating at the top of the stage before slowly gliding out in and around the house was a beautiful moment.

Actually in Wicked, it's a testament as to how well the piece is written because it's only upon re-watching it that the dialogue (and in some case the lyrics), especially for Fieyero, drop plenty of clues as to both his and Boq's fate.

I think I the 'Solidarity' sequence in Billy Elliot where the miners are seated in there orange overalls and it comes to his Dad's attention that Billy hasn't been going to boxing and the young girls in tutus dancing around them is visually such a beautiful juxtaposition.
Speaking of Billy Elliot I remember being blown away by the choreography of Grandma's Song at the time, with the men who have passed through her life, handing the chairs over their heads and then slipping through the window of the pub.
I have the DVD and it's the bit I look forward too and still get's me every time.

The audible gasp from the audience when Norma Desmond makes her entrance in Sunset Boulevard down that grand staircase and they realise that what she's carrying in her arms is a dead chimp.
