My life has no meaning any more m As I'm cutting back on theatre tickets I don't plan to spend much, with two exceptions, for which I will try to get the best tickets I can as soon as they go on sale: Hamilton and School of Rock. |

Do you think it was the time taken to scale those numerous staircases that cut the quick change time for Ms Close, as shouldn't there have been about six more outfits.

^ No, I think it was just too taxing for her to do these insane changes. Some of these original changes would be done in less than a minute when she'd have to reappear all over again in a different location. Some of them also weighed a ton like the New Ways to Dream drag and the big leopard skin gown, and all of these outfits would be worn for no more than ten minutes at a time. Her appearances are more spread out in act 2, which is why she utilizes all the costumes from the second act.

Baz Bamigboye has stated that when Hamilton opens in the West End in 2017, Lin-Manuel Miranda will not be playing Alexander Hamilton, though he may well come over and do a turn in 2018. So nothing's official, but frankly pending any official announcement from Cameron Mackintosh, Baz is pretty much as good as. I imagine Lin will want a bit of a rest, and to spend time with his family, and he has other things in the pipeline (Moana, Mary Poppins, other hinted-at writing projects), so I'm inclined to trust Baz.

^ Isn't the work for Moana done by now? But yes, I think it's fairly established that he will not open the show in London but will star in it at some other time.

I've not been following that closely, but considering how late in the day he was composing for The Force Awakens, I don't think work on Moana will necessarily be officially finished until shortly before release date.  |

I think they've done all the voice overs and recordings. The posters are ready and apparently some of its clips have been circulating.

Moana is due out this November so by the time hamilton opens in london October next year it won't factor into his schedule

Yes, because if you hunt down the casting breakdown, all of the non-King George characters are specified to be for non-white performers. I might dig out the casting breakdown anyway, it's a fun read, but I'll take it to the Hamilton thread as per Burly's request. |

I wonder what Siobhan will be up to next. I saw her in Ghost and didn't love her in it, but was very impressed with her in Miss Saigon and now in Sunset. She sounds like a young Liz Callaway. She'd be so wonderfully cast in Anastasia. I would love to hear her sing Journey to the Past. I would love Siobhan to have a stint as Fantine in Les Mis. She would also be great for School of Rock, Finding Neverland or as Elphaba in Wicked. There are countless roles out there she could play. Let's hope she's back on stage again soon. She was great as Betty and Ellen. What next for Michael? Phantom ? Jean Valjean? |

^ Agree, she was fab as Ellen (best one I've seen) and a divine Betty, and I never liked the character.
Yes, she'd be great as Fantine but I think more suitable for Glinda than Elphaba. Her voice is more suitable as a contemporary soprano/mezzo-soprano that occasionally belts. Her Ellen and Betty were wonderful and I think her voice is more suited to give classical-type scores a light pop sound, but I don't think a full-on pop score like Wicked would be great for her. I saw her in Ghost and I actually did not like her in that at all and thought she was slightly miscast and couldn't pull off the singing as well as Caissie Levy.

Can anyone share pics of any of the merchandise from ENO Sunset? Also if there are any clips circulating, I haven't found them yet... particularly would like to hear the "change" to the overture and "Too Much in Love to Care". This is one of my favorite of ALW's scores, so any changes to it intrigue me
