Oh, loving these positive reviews.
I sat in Stalls C3 for my first visit to this, great view albeit side on, good and Close (pun intended). A1 and A2 had restricted leg room from what I observed. B1 and B2 have no seats in front so loads of leg room. C1 and C 2 will miss part of the set (Michaels bedroom). First 3 of these rows are open ended stalls, where as row D is against a box, so if you are D1, as I am for last night, you will need everyone to move for you to get to your seat.
That said, for £25 more for front row, if there's a centre block seat, get it and you won't regret it. If you need to, contact me for variations of baked bean recipes ...

I wonder if Ria Jones will be on any of the upcoming shows. I would love to see her take.

After seeing this last week I had a very strange dream. It involved ALW putting on a semi-staged Evita at the ENO starring...
MADONNA!
Bizarre, as the dream focused on my being unable to connect to the ENO website. Not even sure I'd want to see it.

Ive got C1 which I was told was not restricted view but as ive seen it before I don't mind missing a couple of bits like Michael's bedroom. Just means I will be that much closer to see Ms Close close up!

Could someone like Nicole Scherzinger do a semi staged Evita at the ENO?

How do semi stage shows work? Are they as good?
Would it have been better if say Glen Close did Sunset Boulevard as a full on musical revival for a limited season at say the palladium instead?

Could someone like Nicole Scherzinger do a semi staged Evita at the ENO? I would love to see Nicole Scherzinger back in the West End and she'd be great in Evita but I would love to see her do it as a full on revival not semi stage ENO

This was one of the best things I've ever seen. In my view the must see event of the year, much like Gypsy last year

I would love ENO to do Evita but first I want them to do 'A Little Night Music' and bring over Angela Lansbury for it.

I just hope I can keep that image out of my head when I see SB again on Wenesday!!

I'm sure Scherzi is attached to Cats (despite them not making a cast announcement yet), but it seemed that Lloyd Webber always wanted her to take it to Broadway.

I shall be making my weekly visitation to the Opera Populaire again tomorrow (third time). Row A stalls. Reports from friends who have been in the last week say that La Close has taken her performance to yet another level.

I wonder if Ria Jones will be on any of the upcoming shows. I would love to see her take. I am not sure La Jones will get a look in. Glennis is relishing every night. I also feel there will be MUTINY if Glennis is off. People are paying to see her - particularly since the triumphant reviews.

Glenn did about 6 bows on Saturday - she's clearly loving it, and so did the crowd.

Is an ENO semi staged production good? I would've loved to seen Glen Close do a full on limited musical revival but I guess the ENO production has that sense or quirkiness??

I just booked a ticket to the last Friday. And already have a ticket to the last performance. And hopefully I'll day seat for Mrs Henderson Presents on Thursday. That'll conclude my four nights in London.
