Any gossip on Art casting? I've heard absolutely nothing and reluctant to book until I know who is in it... Same here, had a look at the OV website and the only info is it will run for 90 minutes with no interval - not even a bit of (semi-believable) gossip about who will be in it? I would have thought rehearsals would be starting at some in the month or so.

It is short so no interval and it builds...I'm a big fan but I wonder how it has fared over these years as we are now more used to this kind of theatre. They used it as a celeb vehicle last time I seem to remember with cast changes.

Hello guys, this is my first post here!
I'm going to London this november and I'm dying to see Miss Jackson live, but I only have one day to see her performance: the closing day. Is there any chance she can miss this performance? And also, most of the tickets are gone already, do you guys know any seats not so expensive that it's still available for the Dec. 2 performance?

I should think she would only miss a show if she were actually no longer with us. So just get ticket if you can. Suggest you plan to queue on the day, early, if you can't get one on net or by phone. Welcome to the Board. Let us know how you get on.

thank you! the seats for the last day are not good, but I believe I will be able to anticipate my trip, so I will have the chance to choose another date with better seats.
The Q rows at the Stalls are all sold out, is there any other great seat views in the stalls or in the dress circle? I think I can afford at 60 pounds, this is my first trip to London, I'm from Brazil, and I don't know how it works very well. Most of theatre I see is here in Brazil and I have never been to Broadway or West End so I don't know how to pick a seat.

Hi madsonmelo, Check out Theatremonkey.com for great seating advice: www.theatremonkey.com/OLDVICstalls.htmI have sat in dress circle A7 and B7 before. Like A29/B30, these seats have thin metal bars in front, but they don't get in the way much and at £21 they are a real bargain. I'd recommend those if they're available.

There are very few seats left for the 2nd December performance. Of the ones left, I'd take C27 in the dress circle at £55 - you're behind a slender pillar but seeing as C26 is significantly lot cheaper for being behind the same pillar, it can't impede the view *that* badly (I've often sat in C26 and have no complaints even with the pillar). Most of the other seats on this level and the level above are round the sides and would require leaning for a decent view.

I wonder if Tim Minchin will play Rosencrantz in R&G Are Dead, considering he's now an associate artist of the Old Vic and he played the role three years ago with the Sydney Theatre Company?

I found a L6 ticket at Stalls for the Dec 1 performance, but in the monkey there's this: ''"L 4, 5, 6 and 7 - The sound in these seats is variable: if the actors turn to the centre or to the other side of the stage they become inaudible''. They said that this was a note only for Six Degrees of Separation, but I wonder if can happen in this production. All other tickets that seems good are 100 pounds and thats kinda too much for me.

Got it to work on my phone. Hmm, maybe work have rumbled me and are blocking the Old vic's booking engine.

Website was down for me too, worked on my phone via 3G - painful trying to select seats but finally managed to nab some.

Yes, I got it to work using 3G on my phone. Odd it wouldn't work on the phone over wifi!

Lot of faffing about trying to pick seats only to be told they weren't available and to refresh the seating plan (only to see those same seats showing as available) but have managed to get row E stalls for the Wednesday night - to tell the truth I'd forgotten these went on sale today until I saw the posts on here, so thanks to Kathryn.

I had the same problem, Marwood. Still, got a ticket eventually, despite the rather stressful experience of having to partake in a phone meeting at work while trying to book my ticket at the same time!

After the chaos of trying to get a ticket for tonight's Groundhog Day, I just asked the website to give me the best available rather than mess around clicking on seats that seem to be there but probably aren't. Today worked out a lot better for me than last Thursday...

Today worked out a lot better for me than last Thursday... Probably should have tried that, came rushing out of meeting late to the endless can't put it in your basket saga, finally nabbed a right at the side seat as was getting desperate, if I'd held my nerve there were probably better ones that would have re-appeared but wasn't that daring. Am there on Wednesday night so will wave at you Marwood from much further back (though on the upside I will have free run to the toilets come the interval on the side).

I just bought the L6 seat for the november 30th performance, if anyone will be seeing this from this seat or close, let me know how is it.
I just can't believe I'm going to see Glenda Jackson live.

I'm going on 2nd November. I can't wait either. It's going to be a real theatrical event! I'm practising my quotes from her Morecambe & Wise sketches to throw at her at random intervals as a "welcome back Glenda, we love you". I reckon she'll really love that.
