I got the priority booking link, but is it absolutely certain that this will stream abroad, too? I don't want to pay up now then realize on the day of the stream that it's restricted to the UK only. Edit: I assume it will be restricted to the UK, because my payment didn't go through. Merchandise seemed to be available though, I was able to put a programme in my basket. A friend of mine emailed the theatre a few days ago and they confirmed that the livestream will be available internationally. |

Don't quite understand why Hope Mill making such a fanfare re the presale to this. Surely if it's online there is no limit to tickets they can sell?! And hence no rush to get them. Revenue stream to pay for the set maybe.....!? The release is I ambiguous but you could read it as they are selling as many online streams as they can’t sell tickets. There is a discount too seemingly. Who actually knows though! |

What is happening to support bubbles? I thought most theatres were only allowing people to book in their bubbles anyway so if support bubbles are still allowed then it shouldnt make any difference. And if they're not allowed then I will be holding the government directly responsible for my mental health falling off its current precipice! |

In addition to the blanket 'rule of 6' and 10pm curfew, Tier 2 rules include: - you must not socialise with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place - businesses and venues can continue to operate, in a COVID-secure manner, other than those that remain closed in law So as you say, no real change for theatres in Tier 2. Even at Tier 3, there's no immediate restriction except that you "should avoid" travel into or out of a Tier 3 area and overnight stays away from home, which might hamper further-flung punters. They may however seek to impose additional restriction in consultation with local authorities, including: "closing performing arts venues for the purposes of performing to audiences"  |

They also sent an email out today telling people that might have booked pre-pandemic in a big group or generally have a booking with more than 6 people, as well as smaller bookings that need to be split into bubbles or households to email them and they'll split them up according to that group's needs. I think is a great thing to further help comply with the rules plus it makes it easy for groups who were going to break the bubble/household rules because they booked their tickets together, etc. to easily get their booking split up without worrying about losing their booking, etc.
I have been really impressed with their communication and how they have handled things so far.

Tier 3 doesn't automatically close venues, though it's an option within the power of the local authorities (given Andy B's current stance, it seems unlikely). Also people "should avoid" travel into a Tier 3 area from outside and overnight stays inside a Tier 3 area by non Tier 3 residents (and vice versa in each case). I hope this is just an acknowledgement that they are aware they are going into tier 3 on Friday, they are still planning on going ahead and are just waiting for final confirmation of the exact restrictions for Manchester. Because from what we saw from other areas, tier 3 doesn't mean the same everywhere, in Liverpool it means closed gyms, in Lancashire it doesn't, so who knows what the details are for Manchester. But I am crossing everything that this will be able to go ahead.

Just seen on Twitter they’ve introduced a new policy where audience members can only be from Greater Manchester to attend. Which I think is good because people travelling there just for the show would’ve been far too risky considering the situation in Manchester right now.

I can't find any updated info about their attendance policy so I've just sent an email requesting clarification as I'll be attending on my own from outside the GM area.
Edit - Just got a reply from HM about attendance - "The current government advice is to limit travel to and from tier 3 zones, however that’s what it is, advice, not law. Therefore it’s up to our patrons to decide if they want to travel or not."

Wow, some of the things I've seen on here about their "restrictions" is baffling! How can people just be so stupid? Surely getting back to the theatre albeit with masks and screens is better than nothing?! 🤦♂️
