There is a MAJOR Sondheim revival happening in London late this year which has yet to be announced, but I safely predict it will be a huggggeee talking point on here!

Interesting. The first and second choices written as musicals. Some of the not so chosen adaptations of already successful movies.

Again? It feels like its done to death. It will need an amazing cast to get me there. Why not Passion.

I also adore Passion. The UK is due another one but it needs a small stage. Could work brilliantly at Hampstead, Southwark or Chocolate Starfish. A rumour of Merrily is also floating around for one of the regional theatres.

My sister is doing a production at uni in April and it was noted it can’t be performed within 100 miles of London at present!

Well if true this is good news as it's a favourite of mine. First outing was Donmar with a very young Sheridan Smith as Little red riding hood. Then at the Pheonix with the wonderful Julia McKenzie as the witch. Followed by Regents Park but only saw act one as 2nd act was washed out. Finally the American cast who did a stripped down version at the Menier.

Well I’m very excited! It’s one I’ve not seen live yet, but I have watched the recording of the Regent’s Park production many times and love the piece.

Royal opera house commercial show? They already did it in 2007 with Lara Pulver as one of the step-sisters

That's super interesting... (and hugely exciting as it's one of my favourite shows)

At my age everything blurs in one.

I'd love to see this. I liked the film, but the only time I've seen it on stage was at the Royal Exchange where it was modernised to make it "relevant" 🙄

Does Vanessa Williams want another go at the witch, if she's having a lovely time in London with City Of Angels?
