God imagine if they're transferring Sweet Charity out of the Donmar but with Nicola Roberts...
Anne Marie Duff's acting was the only thing worth watching in that show (it was all grand till she started to sing)

This is purely an advert to celebrate the NHS but also tied in with encouraging vaccination/ the return of Theatre.
Luckily that god awful Sweet Charity ain’t coming back

Wrong thread, really, but as we've started, we may as well finish! Despite the involvement of many of the usual suspects, the full film is worth a watch.

I quite liked that, but I am guessing we won't be seeing Russel Tovey in a musical anytime soon.

I’ve heard better amateurs. How sad it is that we have these Amanda Holden and Sheridan Smith performers in the UK. They are all AWFUL!!!!! Ugh |

I suppose Sheridan Smith's singing isn't for everyone, but to call her awful? She's bloody terrific in her film and TV performances.

That advert is… underwhelming. And it feels like it should have been released 6 months ago.
Don’t agree that Robert’s is an awful singer though. Yes, she’s got a pop voice, but the recording of her performing ‘Lost and Found’ from City of Angels was fabulous.
I do agree that the celebration of such mediocre singing voices like Amanda Holden and Sheridan Smith is really depressing. People ACTUALLY comment on them saying their voices are “Incredible”. Scary.

I'm not sure cutting her with Sandra Marvin did her any favours — they have very different sounds. I'm also not sure of the optics of persuading people to have a jab with a song trying to persuade people to join a false religion.  But I did like that tap dancing! |
