Anyone every been there on days when Arsenal are playing at home? Wondering just how hard navigating the tube will be. I've done this more than once, albeit unintentionally, and survived. Imo not only is it worse negotiating Richmond when there is rugby at Twickenham, but sitting through even half of this production is a greater ordeal! |

Thanks, I can cope with squash, this is the tube after all just need to get somewhere afterwards and wondered how much longer it might take. I'll hope for lots of injury time and then hopefully I can get out first! |

My partner had the same problem, no confirmation email was sent when booking tickets, and when he called up- the phone was never answered. And then after sending an email to confirm the booking went through, no reply. 2nd email sent and no reply. Shockingly bad service. They are so nasty, they aren't even answering my emails. |

However.., we saw it the other night and LOVED it.
Yes it's dated and some jokes fall flat as a pancake, but the performances are so good. Gatiss really is a class act. Dare I say possibly turning into one of our finest actors?
The other one who impressed me the most was Nathan Nolan found him incredibly moving (and attractive).
Bravos all round.

Enjoyed this tonight, I didn't find it particularly dated really. Gay men are still doing all that, sadly. Or maybe I go to the wrong parties? Loved the set, very G Plan, and the incidental music.
Gatiss was excellent, in fact I thought it was a pretty good cast all round. The only one I got a bit fed up with was James Holmes as Emery. I think there are several ways to play a wildly effeminate gay and he went for a very obvious one.
An enjoyable evening.

Everybody else was excellent though. Definitely an enjoyable evening, although i think it is a little dated, i do very much recognise some of their behaviour. Interesting to compare it to 5 Guys Chillin' which i saw at the Kings Head at the weekend. Pretty much 50 years between the two plays, and the same internalised homophobia and self esteem issues are present in both of them. All that's changed is how they are expressed, and in some ways the characters in the contemporary play are actually more repressed than the ones in Boys. |

I must say I really loved the play when I saw it (and not just because I was sat within inappropriate touching distance of both Oliver Chris and James McAvoy) and didn't find it especially dated at all. You can imagine how sensational it might have been at the time though. LOVED the cast. Not a weak link among 'em. John Hopkins just has a voice like a chocolate fountain that you just want to jump into and I was distracted by Jack Derges' magnificent chest on more than one occasion but they were all brilliant. |

LOVING this!!! The theatre is about a quarter full if that but the audience is lapping it up and even gave an ovation to the dance! Some nice chap gave me his spare ticket so went from row O to E in the stalls!!

Hiatus in row E of the stalls in Brighton for this tonight where there appeared to be a double booking on seats just before curtain up. It turned out that two women had tickets for Lady Chatterley's Lover - NEXT WEEK! They were removed! God alone knows what the dozy ushers on the door were doing when they checked the tickets on the way in. But typical of the staff at the Brighton Theatre Royal, who are charmless and unhelpful.
The play was great - although a very empty theatre. The play, after all, has been lived through in Brighton!! Excellent cast and performances.

Always make me laugh when the usher looks at your ticket and says "yes you're in row D seat 1" as if they're being helpful. Yes dear, I knew that. I can read my ticket too.  |

I know and if there was a brief explanation of where the seat was it might be useful. Or a wave of an arm in the general direction. But just reading out the seat number ain't! I don't think the FOH at the Lowry know themselves. They all look like they've been drafted in from an old folks home. .

My friend went to see Lazarus last week, she was in seat A15 but she managed to make it past the ushers into the Donmar auditorium without them (or her) realising she was in the wrong show. It was only when the person sitting in A15 at the Tempest turned up that she realised she was in the wrong auditorium... |
