For anyone who has seen the new cast, what is Elena like? Is it a good west end debut? Amy was fab in that role so it'll be interesting to see the difference

Amy was fab in that role so it'll be interesting to see the difference She is very different to Amy and has definitely made the part her own. She's a bit hit and miss to be honest, but one can hope she can only get better. She isn't the worst of the new cast members, but not one of the best.

Ah that's a shame - hopefully she'll improve as she gets used to the role. I think Amy was brilliant in that role and was very funny. It's a huge role and show to make your WE debut in and doesn't usually happen like that. Are most of the new cast good?

I really enjoyed Dave (have been a fan of his for a long time). He is different to Killian of course and he will get more comfortable with time. His soul of a man was lovely both on the opening night and Friday last week.

Excellent to hear. I loved him so much in Once. Although I didn't love Kinky Boots I may one day see it again for this new cast.

Back playing Lola tonight!
Seems rather strange not to use one of the current understudies?

Seems the In The Heights cast trouble is contagious.

Back playing Lola tonight! Seems rather strange not to use one of the current understudies? Arun was initially supposed to stay as cover Lola for a month after a cast change to give the new covers enough time, and he knew that he will most probably be on as Lola during that month or so. From what I've heard it is his last week as emergency cover.

Thank you for that Stasia I had a feeling it could be to let the new understudies settle in to the show as cast change was only a few weeks ago. Thanks again

Seeing this for the second time tomorrow, after seeing it almost exactly a year ago. Cannot wait, it's my favourite show in the West End at the moment!

going to London on Monday, too late to dayseat, really want to see the new cast, but I'm hoping to enter the lottery again (I've been lucky enough to win the last two times) but I don't think I'll be as lucky this time hah does anybody know if today tix offer any other discounted tickets for week night shows for people who don't win the lottery? I'm sure I read somewhere that they sell spare seats in the theatre for discounted prices, kind of like the day seats when you miss out on the first row and get other random seats instead? Or I've just totally made this up! thanks for any help

For people who are interested in this sort of thing; there were about 10 people in the day seat queue at 9.45 this morning.
Large crowd outside Funny Girl too.

This one somehow slipped through the net! Could see this happening once the West End production closes, which I've heard may be some time later next year, as a popular revival takes its place...

They recently just extended the run to May though which made me presume it is doing quite well in terms of box office? I hope it doesn't close soon

It's a sell-well/sell-very-well but not always a sell-out, but that's more than enough to keep it where it is!
