Are chances of getting tickets via the TodayTix lottery high or low for a midweek matinee? Also, are there only 2 up for grabs?

I've only tried once midweek, and that was during June half term. I didn't win, but I was offered seats for £28 anyway, which turned out to be row O of the stalls and were great. I think it's half of the front row on offer for the lottery (stage left, I think - at least that's where I sat the one time I did win).
While I'm here, I was at the show yesterday to see Callum as Lola. He was wonderful, but my goodness he plays young. It made him seem even more out of place in the suit (which worked for me, I actually found his Not My Father's Son more affecting than Matt's). Now I can't help dream casting him in my head as Laurens/Philip when Hamilton comes over.

The lottery results are announced at 3:30/4:30 I believe, and you have an hour to claim them if successful. I've tried six times and won once. As a side note, I adored Callum in this. It was very refreshing to see my current favourite show with a different lead. Australia are very lucky! |

I walked past the theatre on the way to the Funny Girl Dayseat Line and there were a good 30 people outside by about 9:30 yesterday morning.

We were thinking around 9:00? danieljohnson14i wouldn't day seat for a popular show like this on a weekend! I think that's why we're going for a midweek show |

Oh yes it is 2 show day! That means it would probably be busier as there are 2 chances of getting seats, I would've thought that matinee would be less busy. Even if I didn't get dayseated then there might be some left over seats available. I think we'll go for dayseats over lottery as we have a better chance of winning and if we can't get theatre dayseats then we'll have to go tkts I guess. Yeah it is holiday for my school but not any other school so we should be alright!! |

Callum Francis was on on Thursday. I'm so glad I got to see him, he's brilliant! Different to Matt Henry (Callum's Lola seems more vulnerable), but just as good. And he looks stunning in those dresses.

I'm glad Jerry Mitchell picked someone who's never done professional theatre before to play Lauren as a new star might be born.
However, I'm pretty gutted Carley Stenson didn't get the job! I think she's an amazing actress and singer (she was great in DRS) and I think she's really underrated! I'd love to see her do a professional, big musical again and she previously said if the book is good she'd do anything!

I did the lottery twice, Wednesday and Saturday Matinees. Both times one ticket, both times lucky. So glad I could catch Matt and Callum. You get informed around 10:30 if you have won. If not everybody claimed their tickets in the hour, after 11:30 there is another chance.

Finally saw this! Got £28 tickets after failing to win a TodayTix lottery ticket.
A fun, bright, enjoyable show with top-notch performances and a couple of memorable songs. I enjoyed it.
It's very Broadway, so I guess that it won the Tony over Matilda (which is definitely not) is not surprising. I can't help but feel that Matilda is the superior show, though.

I've sat in the front row four times, twice dead centre, once on both the left and right extreme ends of the row. It is a great view either way. The only issue I had on the ends of the row is the finale where Lola is at the back of the runway. You are blocked from view but that lasts about two seconds. Be aware that dayseats are only half the front row, the other half is lottery. Dayseats are sold from the centre outward. |

I prefer being further back - you can't get a good sense of the choreography from the front few rows and it's quite a choreography driven show

I felt my seat at the end of row B in the dress circle was good value for £28. That was after I failed in the lottery - I suspect they're using it to sell off unfilled seats cheaply instead of advertising heavy discounts.
