I agree, lets bring it back around to an appreciation of the show! I've not booked tickets yet but I can't wait to see it, and see what they've done with it! I want reports from people who see it ASAP!

Whst a night! A fabulous atmosphere of electric anticipation in the foyer and in the auditorium before the show.Creatives pacing around behind us at back of theatre. We were in Row M.There is not a bad seat in the whole theatre. As stated by previous poster and as seen all over Instagram etc,the stage is a chess board inside an art gallery with each ‘frame’ either empty for a character to look through or a video screen. A brilliant show...very emotional...sung beautifully throughout.A well-drilled tight cast. Immediate standing ovation.Lots of older teenagers in. Highly recommended. Will post more tomorrow as now in a bar near Tower Hill....

Looking to book tickets for this, the last row is £25 and the row that you were sat in is £29, is it worth splashing out to be 1 row forward?

For a first preview, it’s in wonderful shape. Act 1 felt like it took about 15 mins for everyone to settle, and get into their stride, but from then on it just got better and better. Cast are universally excellent - must shout out to Daniel Boys who is giving an astonishing performance as Marvin - I didn’t know how anyone would match Christian Borle but he is just wonderful. Some technical issues with sound, lighting cues missed and mics dropping in and out but that will all be fixed. But an instant standing ovation, and an extremely emotional audience. Think it’s gonna be a big hit.

Set is clever - lots of picture frames. I think it would have felt like it came together a bit more of all the lighting had worked properly - not entirely sure on the projections either, but it all worked!

eugene241,the back row would be fine, you won’t miss a thing. There is a raised platform/mini-balcony but you will still see the actors who stand on it. As people on twitter etc have said, the audience last night were very, very emotional and there were obvs a lot of Falsetto’s fans in there who had been dying to see the show for ages. Hard to pick stand-out performances as they were all brill. ‘Unlikely Lovers’ and ‘Trina’s Song’ had me in tears...beautifully done! Great comic timing/delivery when necessary. The cartwheel was hilarious(you will understand this reference when you see it!) Themes/issues in this show are as relevant as when first written and need addressing and respecting now more than ever. One moment early in second act when audience let out a mighty roar of approval will stay with me forever!Sorry for the teaser! Feel blessed to have seen this show with my daughter and wife. This will sell-out once the reviews hit,I feel.
Merch was lovely-great designs-got the baseball key-ring...terrific programme...show finished at about ten past ten.

Does anyone think TodayTix might be doing rush for this? Not sure whether to wait or try and grab a deal

Does anyone think TodayTix might be doing rush for this? Not sure whether to wait or try and grab a deal I’d doubt it. I was front row, which was £29.50. Said potential restricted view. But it wasn’t in anyway so I’d say that’s a good place to go 🤷🏻♂️

I was front row, and am 6 foot 4 - legroom absolutely fine, more Han enough. Wasn’t end of row either.

Non-existent unless you are on the ends of row G (which are now selfishly kept mostly for the house only - tells you everything) or don't mind sitting bolt upright. Some find it fine, some awful in the latter case. Personally, I'm 5ft 7 and just don't go if I can't get row G. So this is infuriating! You are 100% correct Monkey, and I would also not go TOP unless could get row G aisle. Leg room is appalling for a new theatre. Anyway as you say G1-4 have been off sale for a while, but you could still get the other side. Now it seems G22/23 are also off sale, which I have to say makes me not wanna go at all. Anyone know if these house seats are always used or do they get released for general sale on day of performance for example? Sadly I haven't noticed this to be the case.

I asked. Apparently they sometimes release them if they are not required, but there is no pattern. It just isn't on. They used to keep G 1 to 4, so we had a chance of G23. Then they went 1, 2, 22, 23. After that, I stopped worrying and stopped going. Totally agree. Do understand them keeping one side for house guests - but now the other has gone too so nobody tall stands a chance, it kinda makes you not want to go full stop. I'd consider it for a poorly attended show. When I saw The Wild Party wasn't in G, but was half empty and had nobody either side of me so was able to "man spread" (to be clear I am not one of those awful people that would ever do this with people sat next to me!)

I'm making an exception for Falsettos. That aside, I haven't been to TOP for years, despite a programme of things I find interesting, because of the legroom issue. For a new theatre, it's genuinely shocking, and I'm of only average height!

For a new theatre, it's genuinely shocking, and I'm of only average height! Agreed. They surely missed a trick not refurbishing it like they did with the FOH areas when ALW took over. I guess in the auditorium as each row is stepped from the next it's inbuilt into the structure so very hard(/expensive) to change? Above The Stag is also horrifically uncomfortable. Lucky not to have a DVT after Closer To Heaven.
