What about on and off stage? Will they not have to observe the 1m rule? Do you think that people in restaurant kitchens, behind bars and pubs and in numerous other places that will have reopened way before that show will observe the 1m rule? I guess if producers ensure regular testing and people backstage wear masks whenever possible and limit unnecessary contact it won't be any more dangerous than any other workplace.

Quite simply I have no idea at all. I don’t know how any of this is supposed to work. It’s all a mess.

Rearranged again to 25 August to 3 October. Maybe an outside chance those dates could happen. This is one venue where social distancing might be viable. I thought the same thing, blooming great barn, lots of free tickets on the night I was there. But how do they meet the production costs? Can they open the bar with the necessary nod to clean glasses, bottles, ice cubes on the bar? Clean loos - for staff, performers, audience. Touch free taps, soap ... Doors! Makes my head hurt. It wasn't that great a show.

Good on them for attempting to reopen.. Will be fascinating to see how viable it is in reality.

Isn't The Troubadour Wembley Park, a flexible venue? I think it has more of a shot reopening successfully than say a West End theatre.
I wonder if they may use their other venue in White City if it works in Wembley? IIRC it hasn't been dismantled.

I'm tempted to give this a go in September. Does anyone have an idea of the running time? Trying to decide between matinee and evening.

No indoor performances allowed to resume until 15 August at the earliest, ten days before the first preview of this is scheduled to take place.
With Chris Whitty also indicating that we've already reached around the limit of what can be allowed to re-open, it seems to be somewhat doubtful whether Sleepless will be able to go ahead.

This seems to be getting the go-ahead albeit for a rather limited run and a funny looking seating plan. I took a look around the website and saw Curious Case is still on sale but with the normal seating plan. Also, does anyone know whether there will now be restrictions around stage door as people will surely want to meet the two leads?

Stage door won't be a thing that happens for a long time after theatre gets back on it's feet I'm sure - it'll definitely be off the cards for this

Why would anyone want to stage door in the current climate? You shouldn't/cant get close enough for any real interaction. People should be considerate for their own health as well as that of the performers. That selfie with Kimberley or Jay is just going to have to wait.

Who knows what goes on in the mind of crazy fans? Don't they believe in a devine right to loiter in doorways and give soft toys to the intended

No shade but did Kimberly and Jay really attract that many people to stage door at Big?

I was hoping that there would be some sort of reset after covid and going to the theatre would just be about going to the theatre, watching the show then coming home. Not ‘get into town early...second guess where the cast might go on their break, stalk, hover at stage door before the show, watch show shrieking at whichever in jokes you think makes you part of the cast, go to stage door, follow x to their tube/bike/car, get public transport home talking loudly about your day, the end’. Repeat EVERY Saturday...

Oh dear this looks awful. Hardly inspiring that they don’t feature anyone singing on the promo.

No singing, no dancing, terrible script, and dubious accents.
It'll probably get 5 stars just because there's nothing else to see.

This is the movie which I did not like. Since when is it a crime for someone to mourn their husband or wife for a year or more. And of all people their son to try and set him up. Hated the concept of the movie.
