Frozen - Theatre Royal, Drury Lane

I’ve put off seeing this for so long presuming it will be on forever, so finally seeing it for the first time tonight, kept running out of time and ended up booking a ticket last minute. I’ll probably regret not having seen it ages ago to have chance to see it again, but surely it will tour.

Same. A bridge that folded up. I was totally underwhelmed by it, and indeed the whole thing. And it was all so underlit. From a mid stalls seat it felt like it was all being played in some sort of half light. I was expecting spectacular and came away thinking meh. 
And the audience. My word the audience 😐.

What a final performance! It's truly gone now 😥.
Whole cast on their A-game, first time seeing Laura and she made such a sweet and charming Anna! Her acting really stood out to me, she was superb.
Also my first time seeing Jammy as Kristoff and he really nailed the deadpan "what the .. did I end up in"-comedy of the role, that I enjoy so much, really really well. Its easy to end up a bit sassy and cynical in the role I've noticed, in the way its written and from other performances, but he doesn't ever really fall in the trap of coming off like that. Tough and serious on the surface but with a good heart underneath it all 😊.
Both Olaf and especially the Duke were very extra for the final show and we all ate it up. Nearing the big finale some cast members already looked and sounded a bit emotional.
After the show the producer introduced the swings, the orchestra, technical crew and the creatives, and then the bell was rang before we all left the theatre 😭. The queue for stage door went all around the theatre, even past the main entrance, I usually never stagedoor cause im very scared to 1. go alone, 2. not recognising my favorite actors out of make-up and 3. being annoying (lol), but with the whole theatre practically queueing I decided why not join in the fun 😊. Not very lucky though as all the mains were gone pretty quickly, I did manage to get an autograph from the really nice actor who played Sven atleast.
Goodbye Frozen, you will be missed, I regret not going more often but the times I've been I'll never forget. I doubt we'll ever see it back in it's current form but I can pray I guess 😭 (and also pray that that inevitable UK-tour won't be scaled back too much lol).

A shame this wasn´t sold out because of Disney´s unlimited greed, pricing seats at the balcony for over 100 quid.

Loved the final performance, it was very emotional but we had a lovely supportive audience. I loved how the producer thanked every single person behind the show as well, from swings to the FOH. I just kind of wish Samantha Barks or another cast member had got to say a few words! I may have been imagining it, but I thought it looked like Samantha wanted to jump in at the end, but then sadly that was it.

Stage door was a bit chaotic with how busy it was, and there was an amusing moment where I saw a woman who was pissed off, presumably because she didn't get a meet and greet with the cast. I didn't hear her full rant but caught her saying "After all the money I've spent on this f**king show" (!) Interesting that she clearly felt entitled to Stage Door! Of the leads I only very briefly saw Oliver Ormson, who was rushing for a taxi and only did a few pics/signatures, and Samantha Barks who was bombarded for photos. It would have been great to have seen Laura Dawkes, but I don't begrudge her at all, the crowd was overwhelming and she must have been both physically and emotionally exhausted!

A pleasure to be at the final performance on Sunday. It’s not necessarily a show I’d see over and over again (this was my second viewing) but it undoubtedly is a big loss to the West End.

Samantha Barks is a great vocal talent and I look forward to seeing what she does next.
