I’d previously loved the first iteration of Mary Poppins but it was deemed too dark & complicated for our stupid brains, so was dumbed down. Poppins has its moments, but it can also be quite flat and drawn out at times Little Mermaid just had the wrong concept. Hunchback likewise, but definitely has potential on a bigger scale. Tarzan has great songs and some great staging, but not sure on it as a show on the whole. Aladdin I loved some of, but the villain was a disappointment and went into panto territory at times. Beauty and the beast (original) for me captured disney magic the best, and the Lion king is just so unique and well done. I saw Mermaid in Japan - I think it was, physically, the production that had previously played the Netherlands - and it was brilliant. No heely shoes like on Broadway, just fantastic swimming scenes done using flying, and a very clever pop-up set. Surprised it's never come to London as it's got such a good score, including the new songs, and it looked amazing. |

Tickets for the final show are available now and ridiculously expensive...between £99.50 to £250 in the stalls for example. I very much want to be there though so I guess I'll have to fork out!

I ask this with the full understanding that this is a Disney show with a lot of appeal for family's with children, but in your experience how has it been crowd behaviour wise when you've gone? I'm thinking about catching this before it leaves, but don't want to pay out fairly big bucks for an experience of lots of chatty kids and rustling sweets. I know that you can't generalise, but just looking for a general vibe check I guess!

I’ve always been very impressed with the behaviour of the children in the audience at Frozen, I’ve only ever had issues with performative parenting being intrusive, kids themselves are generally well behaved and spellbound/awestruck!
I love this show, and the spectacle is worth it IMO.

It is understandable to have excited and excitable little princesses (and princes) in the audience but continual talking is an issue the parent should deal with. I have been a few times and one first act was ruined by "is it time to go home now?" .... "can I have sweets" .... etc... from a princess too small to be there but right in the middle of a row so FoH couldn't do much. I believe she was executed during the interval though so all was well. But overall, if you can excuse excitability, my visits have been fine. |

The parent show has been irritating on several visits. Groups of yummy mummies trying to peak young Emily’s interest in a sodding reindeer when all she is bothered about is a snowman and singing along, all the while caning the Prosecco to make it actually bearable. All she’s really after is a photo of her deigning to parent her child for her socials.

When I went the children sat near me were all very well behaved and quiet, however someone kept rustling continuously behind me ,in the end I turned round and there was a fully grown women eating slices of bread straight out the packet... 🤣

I don’t think that will ever see the light of day. Frozen is a different ball game and we will almost certainly see this on Disney+ in the future. |

That's a bit odd considering jafar of all the characters could more easily be white. Nothing to say he didn't come from another land. Plus he was the original voice artist for the movie so there is that spin |

There were children who were clearly too young to be in an theatre and understand what was going on. In many cases no attempt by the parents to quell the noise. Constant stream of people leaving seats for toilets etc etc. I paid a high ticket price for mid stalls but the behaviour was everywhere. The only tip I’d give would be to as far forward as you can so at least much of the visual distraction is behind you. |

Where as I'd say the opposite. I went to a Saturday matinee so loads of kids and no real issues. I mean you can't go to a family show and not expect the occasional disturbance but nothing that really impacted my time in theatre.
They were saints compared to adult behaviour at more grown up shows to be honest.
That said I wonder if where you sat matters. We were stalls and fairly central and close to stage. I wonder if the further back you are kids get less involved so are more restless 🤷♂️

I think the behaviour of some of the kids when I went actually put me off the show itself. I will forever associate it with badly behaved entitled brats with parents oblivious to their little darlings' behaviour. Apparently they grow up to preload before shows, quaff prosecco through the show and then start fights either with each other or anybody who dares to call them out for it. |

By contrast, I have sat next to some delightfully well behaved children with decent parents too. They aren’t all monsters. Just some of them.

My fear of unruly children encouraged me to book a two person box for the first time ever when seeing this show. It was a somewhat restricted side view but proved to be a great decision.
I’ve done the same thing for closing night.

I sat behind a parent who, for the entire show, persisted in stroking her child's hair as if she was a pet dog. I don't know how the little girl put up with it!
