I would say British, but American most likely.

In Jane McDonald's absence Natasha J Barnes would be a good shot for this wouldn't she?
If that works out I won't charge Disney a finders fee. But I will expect to lead the parade at Disneyland on a date of my choice though.

I really hope they cast the leads here a bit closer to the characters age. Anna especially on Broadway does look age appropriate for the naive youthfulness of the character

What about Bronte Barbie for Anna? Not sure how she sounds these days (I know her from Dorothy, but haven’t seen any of her work since) but she certainly looks the part!

I would think they’d get an Elphaba for Elsa. Kerry Ellis? Louise Dearman? But Carrie Hope Fletcher has a huge following so it could be a smart casting move? Kerry would be awful! And she looks a bit too old for the role also, I don't think it would work. Yes you’re probably right about Kerry. Question - why does Carrie Hope Fletcher have such a huge following? Is it because of Les Miz? Not throwing shade - really just want to know...

She's super talented but the enthusiasm of her fandom remains much of a mystery 😀

On the subject of the theatre being wasted on Frozen, remember when Shrek came over into the TRDL they decided to use the touring "Panto" set rather than the much superior Broadway one!

why does Carrie need to be in everything? would not see her as Anna or Elsa Carrie's latest book (which will be published next year) features a character called Luna who looks suspiciously like Elsa (naturally white blonde hair worn in a fishtail braid) Carrie does love Frozen (I don't like the film personally, it was a huge disappointment to me - nowhere near as good as Tangled, which I love) I'd like to see the show though, if the cast looked interesting. Anyway, how about Jodie Steele as Elsa?

why does Carrie need to be in everything? would not see her as Anna or Elsa She doesn't *need* to be in everything, but she's got a nice enough belt, a sweet enough face, and her acting style is reasonably consistent with gawky cartoon princesses that I think she'd make a good Anna (but a *terrible* Elsa). Her big following is because of her YouTube channel; she'd probably have a reasonable fanbase for her musical theatre work, a lot of MT actors seem to develop one, and her books seem fairly popular although whether they'd sell (or even be published) if she didn't already have that fanbase is clearly up for debate, but the YouTube channel lets her reach a way huger number of people than just performing in musicals would, even the touring productions.

CHF is also quite 'normal' which I think appeals to many people. In a world where so many actresses are so slim, so immaculate, so made up and so model like, Carrie is, on the normal distribution of all these factors, somewhere in the middle. With the same medley of body-related happiness, comfort, appreciation, doubt and insecurity as so many women. And I think that speaks to her (fairly young) fanbase. She does have a great voice too. She seems good at the you-tube stuff also which obvs I don't understand about being 42 but am told the young people appreciate it.
(I say this as a gay man with not much experience of these things, so ladies out there do feel free to correct me).
Her fans do have an extreme element, (bit like the football hooligans extreme minority but maximal exposure) that turn her shows into a circus though. As I'd like to see Frozen am therefore hoping that it won't be her!

Has CHF done any funny roles before?`
Tbh, I can't see her as Anna at all. Elsa, maybe, but I don't think Frozen needs her fanbase to sell tickets.
Personally, I'd go for the usual suspects and would love to see Rachel John as Elsa and maybe Amy Lennox as Anna. Or how about Carly Anderson who was hilarious in Xanadu?

don’t think she has the vocal range for Elsa. Elsa would be a role for a former Elphaba maybe

Given that the show is going to sell itself and could be cast with pretty much anyone, I'd rather like to see a cast made entirely of previously-unknowns. I really don't get this attitude of "This person has played [my favourite role]; they'd be perfect for [every other completely different role]".

I don't think the Frozen frenzy is anything like it was. The stage show should have come out much sooner.
I have not seen the show but I cannot help but think the staging is bound to be an anti climax to the effects in the film. No doubt I will be completely wrong, but I think it will have a reasonable run at Drury Lane but nothing like the long run expected.

yeah frozen is no where near as popular and it's key fan base will have moved on now too. unlike Aladdin there won't be the nostalgia audience. will be interesting to see how it fairs.
frozen 2 is due out this time next year so that may help

I think Kerry Ellis is a good idea! She is blonde and has the belt. She is too old but Cassie is also.
