I'm not enthusiastic about this because I felt that the film made such excellent use of its medium that any attempt to recreate the experience in a different medium is going to fall flat because it can't possibly reach the standard set by its predecessor. I'd like to see them do something more original. We've had more than enough stories about unimaginative executives milking the public until they're desiccated husks.

It certainly doesn’t need this size theatre. It fits the theatre on Broadway well. I enjoyed the show earlier this year. There is SO MUCH complaining about the “lack of ice castle” but seeing it in context, I don’t think it needed it or felt like it missed anything. More substantial set pieces would have been nice, but I know they build these things with tours in mind (that’s no justification by the way, when you’re paying broadway prices!). The new songs added a lot, cast were great, projections worked well. It was my least favourite of three shows I saw on Broadway this year, but I liked it enough. One of the better Disney adaptations to stage (behind Mary Poppins).

I think it was only two or three people complaining about the lack of ice castle, but the amount of complaining they did, you can be forgiven for thinking it was a bigger issue than it actually was.

Frozen at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane would be perfect. To anyone saying the theatre is to large remember that the St James Theatre owner in New York enlarged the stage to acquire the show. They say the renovation was already planned and would cost 10 millions dollars just to acquire the real estate. In my opinion the stage area is too small and limiting for Frozen and if they can use the hydraulics of the Drury Lane that would create a more satisfying show. There's hits that the creative team is revamping the show for London. I had a prime orchestra seat through Stubhub for a fraction of the cost and from there there was substantial "eye candy" but can't imagine what it looked like from the balcony. Out of all the Elphabas I think Nikki Bentley is best suited. A lot of people have suggested Alice Fearn but I don’t really see that.

I would've thought both leads need to read as early-mid 20s at the oldest for Elsa and Anna really. Ellis and Dearman are nearly 40! Having said that, Caissie is 37...

She did recently play Elphaba in London aged 42 so I guess the makeup department could work their magic with Verkaik.
