It really deserves to return and do well again. Sam Tutty is incredible as Evan. It was the last show that really blew me away and stayed with me, even now. Certain songs still make me well up. I will see it again but whoever sits near me may need to pass me a Kleenex.

Expect a joint Broadway and West End reopening announcement, in the near future.

There’s no way this won’t be reopening. It was selling well, it won the Oliviers and the film is out later in the year which always brings a boost.
Producers just want to stagger these reopening announcements for maximum impact.

Now on sale to DEH+ members. Picked up one of the bargain £5 Grand Circle side tickets for the first night (still some left if you're quick).

Whereas I spent a whole £7.50 per ticket more for the first couple furthest from the stage for the first Saturday. I just felt such connection from that area before which completely changed my view of the show. Interesting that its only Tues-Sat.

Yes, it's not the best view in the world, but if you've seen the show before you can't really complain for the price. I just felt such connection from that area before which completely changed my view of the show. Interesting that its only Tues-Sat. You can't really complain for £12.50 either. Very surprised they aren't running Sunday, especially considering the audience for the show. But maybe they will add extra performances nearer the time.

Presumably Nicole Raquel Dennis won't be back as she'll be prepping for Dreamgirls kicking off in December.

Courtney Stapleton is off to do Beauty and the Beast too, which opens up an understudy role.

Its weird. You are completely side on, and the view really is terrible unless you properly lean but so close to the stage with a different sort of intimacy. The £12.50’s aren’t much better but your view isn’t quite as impeded by the edge of the circle.

Looks good. To be honest I think it will work better as a film, though not to take anything away from the stage musical which I did enjoy.

Now thats a great trailer and I agree that it could well work better as a film.

Good call on the longer hair on Platt as it does de age him...slightly.

That trailer is the first time I’ve been in the slightest bit interested in this.

Interesting! I like they've ramped up the "nerdiness" of Evan's look for the film. Makes more sense.

Trailer looks good, will be interested to see the film. I enjoyed it on stage but I thought the music was pretty forgettable, except for You Will Be Found.
I’m somewhat bemused by all the bitchy comments online about Ben Platt playing a high schooler at 27 years old, as if that’s not the case with the vast majority of Hollywood movies and TV series. He looks more convincing as a nerdy teenager than a lot of the “ripped Calvin Klein model” type of actors you’d normally see in stuff like this.

They had an opportunity to cast it age appropriately but went with casting the stage actors instead. Looks fab and a shoo in for awards nods for Platt, Moore and Adams. Didn’t notice who was Larry Murphy but if he’s good he could get nommed too.

Looks fab and what a great coincidence that I booked theatre tickets for it today. I'm going mid November I just hope it's still in the cinema afterwards as it would be totally wrong (like non cheddar mini cheddars) to to see them the other way round.

Nope, sorry, that doesn't make me more interested in seeing it in the slightest. I hated the show onstage and that trailer doesn't improve it for me.
Also Ben Platt looks closer in age to Julianne Moore than the other school kids. There was no reason to cast him.
This pales in comparison to the West Side Story trailer we've had, and this one was three times as long! In the Heights also looks far better from what I've seen.

That’s a fantastic trailer and Ben looks perfectly age appropriate, which I was slightly worried about.
I can’t wait to see it now!
