MY favourite moment of Sarah's interview on Lorraine - "I'm struggling with the acting and Andy is struggling with the singing so we're balancing each other out" I struggle with singing and acting, so I'd fit right in. |

Someone in a facebook group keeps saying he trained in musical theatre before he got into TV and on his wikipedia it says he got a national diploma in musical theatre from 'Sheena Simon College' which I think is the Arden School of Theatre (correct me if I'm wrong!). No idea if he's done any professional musical theatre before, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now because I also loved him in Hollyoaks. His character's death episode was great. Hilariously OTT, but great!  The Sheena Simon is a sixth form college in Manchester. It sounds like it should be teaching shorthand courses to budding secretaries "The Sheena Simon School for Girls" but it's got a good drama department apparently. It's virtually in the gay village. Conveniently. |

The reason why not Sarah, is that if you cannot do the job thousands of people are going to be disappointed!
She seems nervous but also naive about the responsibility of this. Wow.

She actually said "I'm more the singer than the actress and Andrew is more the actor than the singer" which is correct anyway and we all knew that? I think ink people should give her a break. She may surprise us and she may be good, you never know. I like her as a person anyway |

I think the problem George is that lots of people were really looking forward to hearing this sung to the standard of the previous Molly's, and on the evidence of the last fifteen years, it does not seem likely that this will be the case. Sam isn't an easy sing but can easily be disguised with whacking up the volume on his big songs, and taking them down a bit. Molly is a lot more exposed and her songs more 'delicate'. The thought of her honking the gentler bits of 'With You' makes me shudder; I'm quite confident she can pull off the noisy bits, and will grab a cheap seat regardless so that I can form an opinion that isn't based on the 5 GA concerts I took my daughter to over the years.

It's the acting though. I don't watch Corrie but was pointed in the direction of a couple of clips on YouTube and I'm afraid she was not up to it. And that's playing a character who seemed quite close to herself. The thought of her doing "Brooklyn" is, frankly, hair raising!

Classic 'actoring'. I don't really care about the acting though, I left after Rain/Hold On last time I saw it as I'd heard what I wanted to and I'm not that bothered about what comes after. It's all about music for me. |

Yeah I watch Corrie all the time and I remember her infamous Joanie and it wasn't good. She was supposed to be a regular character but the bosses and audience were so shocked at how bad she was that they didn't ask her back. I'm keeping an open mind though until I hear/see reviews

I'm keeping an open mind too. I was thinking about this earlier and wonder if anyone agrees with me - Does Ghost really need star casting to sell? A show like Happy Days obviously needs it, but I always thought this show was popular enough. Then again its Bill Kenwright - I'm surprised he didn't chuck in Marti Pellow just for the lolzz...

I will definitely give Sarah the benefit of the doubt and go see the show. I am more intrigued as to who will take over from her and Andy, as they are only signed on until December but the tour continues next year!
